It is said the toughest job in the world is being a mother.

Though they have dreams too, the events of every day life tend to interfere with them in many ways.

These include "hungry kids on feeding binges," as well as "kitchen taste tests".

Both of which can indeed contribute to "keep the pounds missing the target."

I liked your poem and found humor in it. It takes a certain kind of person to laugh at themselves, I enjoyed the image you chose, it adds fun to your writing. I hope your happy with your new body.

My mistake, I intended to give you a five star.
    If anything,I would suggest
    to Show don?t Tell.
Meaning instead of saying ?my kids,? you might say,
? the twinkle in my eyes.?
    Keep writing:)

How true are these words that this poet writes. I enjoyed reading this short poem. I liked how the poet worded the poem. It's so true that Mothers have their hands full with so many other important things that they don't have time to be bothered with something as minute as losing weight. That is what I got from the poet. I enjoyed these truthful words about mothers.

Been there. Your poem gives a good insight into the battle that mum's have. I chuckled at the memory of kids wanting burgers and me succumbing to temptation.

Good points, well made, but believe me, it's not just mummies! This Daddy can't resist joining in when the kids are having snacks. Trying to lose weight is a nightmare. :-) Well written.

I have no idea what it is to be a mother. However, when my wife was pregnant with our second boy; she lost six pounds and I gained twenty-five. It was all due to her craving for double chocolate ice cream. So, I do understand the pound thing. Nicely written!

It's a difficult struggle for most of America. All of that deep-fried take-out tastes, so good. What a wonderfully written poem and congrats on the All-Time Best. Best of luck with your writing!

Have a great day, and God bless.

Huh, I don't have kids but I seem to have some of these issues as well. I plan on baking on Wednesday, and I will be tasting as I go. You have to taste as you go though, right?

This is bit of a humorous poem, I know my wife likes to cook and bake for the family especially the treats during the holidays. Which the kids eat without consequence. Not so true for us adults when we indulge! Thank you for sharing this!

Out of sixes! Great job with this. I also have had the weight battle, but it is under control, give or take a pound or two. This is just a fun piece with a fun photo to match. Creatively done, bright and colorful, both your choice of photo and your words. I love it. Great job and good luck!
