Wow, you do me a double honor this evening. Thank you so much for the high score and kind comments! That means more than anything! We all need hope, and the response I have received let?s me know I am not alone in this. If I can bring something needed and good to my readers as a writer, I think that?s the day I quit. But, not now. Still got things I want to say and stupid characters to make up that eat wedding gowns for fun!

I will take it in three parts, if I may. the first half of your essay is objective and accurate, the press and Washington cannot be ignored, because it does matter. but it can be addressed and given low priority. the second half of your write is about God in all His/Her manifestations or personas. I believe faith in something higher is essential to an healthy existence. most Atheists cling to their beliefs out of fear. I have talked to many of them and they are in a very strange place. Thirdly, as you recounted the ills that come from the media and the government, I was making mental notes. a list of things they can't take away. For example; Stop for Lemonade at the corner stand and tip the kids a buck. Go to a garage sale and quibble over a 20cent vase. help with your neighbors groceries, and let them help you with yours. walk around your street saying "hot enough for ya" in the summer and "BBBRRRR" in the winter. just a few counter measures for when the news gets you down. superb piece, Sally...........meeshu

The Bible verse that just popped into my mind says, ?whatever is lovely and of virtue, let your mind dwell on this things.? I think it?s in the Epistles. I also need to be tuned in to what is going on so I can pray and vote. Trying to find that balance of where I let my mind dwell. Refocusing right now on the Lord. Thanks again for stopping by?

Thank you so much for writing this! It's a week where we need to remember the hope we have in Jesus despite all the horror going on. In fact, He remains the hope of even those persecuted and in prison for His Name. Beautiful testimony!
