A caring, thoughtful and engrossing write, looking at the deep human condition. People just like animals are often territorial and we are also often materialistic. We own no land, for the world is our country, all mankind our are brethren and too do good should be our religion, Jimi Hendrix once said that when the power of love overtook the love the power then the world will know peace. Not all people are alike so we do conflict, so we should move in circles of those like minded, but the world is over populated and we should learn to tolerate and defend and yet know we do not own anything... what is the value of money and gold, to anything but people? Nothing, but life and spirit is priceless and should be treasured. Shame so many do not think the same way, no matter what your status, social standing, wealth, culture, race, gender, health, ability, faith, belief or intelligence. Sorry I am waffling now :), like I said though a very thought provoking piece and a tale from your heart! Excellent :)

Hello, Sally, I just loved reading this and I agree with so many things you have written... I especially liked...

There is no need, no want, no problem, or pain that is too big for God. He gives me His peace while He works, doing what only He can do.

Thanks for your affirmation of faith... so well done.

Melissa

Unrest is spread thick, (BOTH) civil and worldwide.
Crimes supposedly committed with no corroboration whatsoever. (AWKWARD. Insinuates that crimes are committed with no help or witnesses)
I will pose a personal question. I will put myself on the witness stand and testify. Law is my name. (Interesting statement, but you did not follow through with it, so it has no relevancy in your essay)

I hate doing this, Sally, but if I don't, I'll feel guilty. The first half of the essay says there is no reason for you to have any hope. You give examples of why you don't have any hope. Then, without any transition, you list all all the ways God, (Jesus) gives you hope.
The premise is a good one, but it is not spelled out clearly enough.
Mind you, this is just my opinion. Others may not agree with me whatsoever.

Thank you for the review and stopping by. There must be some merit here because the top ranking members of FanStory have given me high marks. I am sorry you missed the transition from hopelessness to hope. I appreciate your insight and your time spent to read my post.
    All my best,

Unfortunately, Sally, that is partially what is wrong with FanStory. Too often reviewers give high marks to ensure your friendship, hoping you'll also give them high marks. My purpose in reviewing is to help someone become the best writer they can be. That's what I want from anyone reviewing my work, and that's what I try to do for others. Please don't take offense.

Sally, you have a gift, God-given I suspect, to set the perfect tone, to relay the perfect message. Hope is not lost as long as people of faith continue to be guided by His teachings. Thank you for the uplifting message. All is not lost unless we lose faith in Him.
Have a blessed day.

Rob

Thank you so much for the excellent review and kind comments. He has given me this gift of writing and I honor Him. I am a blind writer and cherish every article and post God affords me. I do not take it for granted and it?s my way of pointing people to my wonderful Lord and Savior. If I succeed in that, I am content. Hope is desperately needed in our world today, thus prompting this article. So glad, you could appreciate it.

I like your daily confession of hope and faith. IO think we forget he sees all things and knows all thingand that only He can judge. "I do not know what my day holds, but I know who holds my day." This is an excellent daily mantra that I totally agree with. Merry Christmas.

Thank you so much for the excellent review and kind comments. Yes, He holds our days?every one of them. I decided to re-post this today because I needed to be reminded of these truths. I share with you and others thinking maybe I am not alone. I see, again, I am not.
All my Christmas best to you and yours. I trust you are well, good and safe. Merry Christmas!

I understand your words here Sally but would like to just comment on other side of the coin, if I may. The United States is so very united, each state does not war with each other and there is peace within the communities. You have a vast country and the American people are loyal to their country, I find this so commendable. The people who live in America who are at home have not felt the hardships regarding rations etc. America has the task of policing world war it seems and it is from a stand point of being able to rule a peaceful country with a democracy. As a result your men have had to go to war in other countries so you have felt the effects of war in your own back yard. The point I am making is that you live in a country that is united in peace and can travel from state to state freely without being ostracised. Unlike Europe when it is divided on occasions by war and unrest of other parts of the world is divided by religion and their political views. There is much to celebrate in your country. But I agree wholehearted that their is sadness elsewhere in the world and we need to pray for peace in other countries. Freedom is not available to everyone and I so appreciate my own freedom. Your children and grandchildren have a bright future! I enjoyed reading about your concerns and fears Sally, I hope I have alleviated some of them, love Dolly x

Thank you so much Dolly for your insight and cherished review. The new breed of democrats want open borders and this is already a concern as it is breaking down the moral code and law of our country. Not everyone comimg across is our enemy, but enemies cross daily. The mainstream media paints a different picture of what is really going on there. I have a relative who was a border patrol agent for years. The stories he told were horrific. Many of the children are being sold as sex slaves as soon as they cross the border, unfortunately by members of their own families. Many American citizens have been murdered by illegal aliens who have been deported may times and returned crossing the border yet again. Young teenagers murdered in their prime by MS 13 gang members. I don?t think a complete wall is necessary, but complete security is needed to protect our own citizens.

Hitler dissolved the Weimar Republic of Germany in short order when he burnt down the Reishtag Building, destroyed their Constitution and passing the Enabling Act. This gave Hitler power to make laws without consulting the Reichstag for four years. The democrats here in the U.S. want to destroy our constitution and/or re-write it. This is a huge concern to me and the future of our nation. I constantly have to give these things over to my God. It is my daily prayer and presses me. I value all your input, and thank you for your encouragement and wisdom.

    All my best,
    Sally xo

Hi Sally, you have far more of an idea than me to know what?s going on in your own country, I am an outsider looking in. I hope the border problem is resolved one way or another. The Hitler history went from bad to worse in the end, love Dolly x

Nice photo for this setup. With all of our world in such a mess, how do we protect our own? WHAT IS OUR GOVERNMENT THINKING?

Thank you for the excellent review and insight. Yes, I can easily be sucked in to the political muck and mire if I am not careful. I wrote this article to myself first, and to be shared with others. I needed a giant dose of hope.

Sally this is a very heavy story of a world on the spin down into hell. Yea, there is so much sin chocking mankind. Keep plugging in your writing to awaken at lease a few that will read your work. Pray for the domino effect that by you other good people will begin to do as your are.
God bless you,
Ray

"Many countries don't recall the days of peace except in a distant memory" what a fabulous line. How true that is.
Another one of my favorites "lies gulped down and accepted as truth with no validation" sometimes its easier to accept a lie than it is to understand the truth. Loved this read. Happy writing!
