This reads in one breath, a very moving tale of the forgotten tomb but not the forgotten man. I loved the imagery, and the sense of innocence seemingly forever covered by the growing ivy.

This is really an interesting form, Yvonne and as always you've delivered a fine poem of man and nature with exquisite rhyme and metre.

Just lovely and wishing you much luck in the booth. :)

Oh, I love it!! :) :) Such a deep and calling write, giving voice to the unmarked and recalling all those touched or not touched by the reminder of the life hidden beneath. Just wonderful, ma'am! :) :) Thank you so much for sharing and good luck in the contest! :) Yvette

This is a beautiful poem in every way Yvonne. The font works well, the style of the poem fits with your words/message, the image is perfect, the meter is super, and the overall appearance is professional. I loved reading it. I could picture everything you mentioned in your poem. You let readers interpret the 'who' is in the grave. That is a great touch. Thanks for sharing and best wishes. Jan

A wonderful contest entry. Sad and bittersweet. I've never written a chain rhyme, it seems like a challenge...one that you have conquered. Best of luck in the contest.

Hi, Yvonne. Sso sorry if I called you Judi again yesterday. Arrggh! I feel so stupid. Anyway, this is a good Chain poem, especciaally for this time of year. My favorite line was:

"The sands of time will leave no hint nor trace,
no tales to tell of brave"Brilliant writing, my dear friend. Bob

Thank you so much for these lovely remarks. You may call me anything you like and not to worry. Once I get hung on a word, it's hard to get my mind off it. You're far from stupid, my friend.

That is so sad, Yvonne. I see many graves of young men and women that are neglected and overgrown. Their family now gone to join them. I enjoyed this style, my friend, you wrote it so well. Good luck in the contest, I think it's a very strong entry. :)) Sandra xxx

A very well-written chain-rhyme poem and a wonderful theme chosen to make it an interesting poem of various rhyme patterns and a look at the good and bad things in nature.

I really like your font size. I was able to read your poem without my readers. I don't buy prescription glasses anymore. I went online and asked vision works what was the difference between prescription glasses and drugstore readers was. They said nothing. they're made by the same optic company. I used to pay $400 for scripts. I pay $16 online.
