Hi Michael, I love it. It's the right poem/response to this rather crazy contest. I just entered for the heck of it. Couldn't resist it. I wish you all the best in the contest. Ulla:))

Hi Michael, Oh yes this made me laugh out loud. You are so right with these words. I hope the person it is directed at takes notice LOL . I find some contest a little rediculous especially with a list of words and line requirement obviously suited to their poem and expect others to try to match. hmmmm Anyway good luck with this one All the best Cheers Christine

Oh good gravy marie! My eyes are crossed now because, yes, of COURSE I counted to be sure there are 71 characters....and what can be said about THIS challenge? Mental gymnastics? Aerobic poetry? My axions and synapses are panting just thinking about the effort to "do that"--but you DID! Good for you for matching the challenge with a worthy effort! Beats the hell out of "one line poems" in my book....but really? Can't wait to see the next challenge! (Ninety nine characters, no "e" allowed, every third line rhyming with "beer" (as in 99 bottles of beer?)--and, ummmm.....include seventeen words from ten of Trumps latest tweets!
Yeah!----Let's get Trump into it--that'll ruffle some feathers! (Grin)

Your poem is the second one I've read for this contest. The first one was extremely good and yours is equally as good. I can tell this is going to be a hard contest. The prompt alone seemed impossible to me. Good luck.

How did you do this Michael, with all of the constraints? It strikes me like letter sudoku. And then to have it have meaning. I'm actually doing something just like that. I have a Write to Heal fb page. Just today I suggested people write about how they are like a particular flower. I told them I was working on Me and the Dandelion. So I'm hoping many will join in to match me. Now you can challenge the writer to attempt to even consider matching you in the letter sudoku challenge. Well done.

It's just a puzzle. It's easier than it sounds. Of course it's easiest for whoever writes the first poem and then makes the rules. LOL

    Thanks so much, mike

We are all different in each our own way. We express our selves in many ways. Sometimes we surprise ourselves and come up with a real winner and wahla we have it!

Now that you've written this poem, write it backwards eliminating one letter every three and a half characters until the remaining letters form an anagram for a phrase meaning something similar to WTF.

Good idea. I"ll get on that and THEN I'll sponsor a contest requiring everyone to match my piece. LOL

A very well-written fifteen word poem about the art of writing poems in a way that the reader has the ability to do the same kind of poem to match the example of the original format.

Haha. Great entry, Mike. That's exactly what seems to be happening over and over. You did a fine job of doing just that. Thank you for the chuckle. I wish you the best of luck in the booth.

Excellent, this poetry speaks the message clearly and truthfully, as it sometime happens; a poet has to do it for his satisfaction; wish you good luck in the contest; well said, well done. Keep Writing -- DR ALCREATOR
