Hi Bill, Yes that was a good word LOL but it is appropriate also. Glad you like it and we will be busy cheering this Sat as my husbands team the Magpies play my team the Tigers so I may have to take some beta blockers pre match Ha Ha Cheers Christine

Hi Marilyn, Thanks for your review We have the finals here in Aus so many a heart is beating fast LOL my husband and my team play each other this Sat night So it will be a good game Then grand final in 2 weeks I barrack for the Richmond tigers and we won last year so hope for back to back Cheers Christine

I enjoyed your poem about football in the form of Cinquain. It is simple, to the point, direct and yet so expressive with some of the jargon that the sport consists of... the all American game, that everyone one loves! Great job!

Hi Air Spriit. Thanks for reading my cinquain, We are in the midst of footy final in Australia so Aussie rules is our football that we love a bit different to the American style bit the cinquain is aimed at all types of football but my muse was the game I watched the other night. My husband and my teams play each other next Sat for a place in the Grandfinal in 3 weeks so we will be on the oposite side of the room next week LOL My team the Tigers won the grandfinal last year so I am hoping for another win this year. We will see. Cheers Christine

= While I am against this sort of blanket response, since so many have inquired about my absence--health, this -FYI- is meant to explain--and thank you all.
= I am thoroughly enjoying Tom's retirement and haven't even clobbered him over the head---YET! LOL!
= Since my son and I reconciled after his heart attack in March of this year, he and his family have visited often. I'm blessed--my prayers were answered in so many ways.
= The twins are AWESOME! They will be 6-years-old in December and are now in Kindergarten.
= I've been scarce from the sight due to so much activities with them, and our two great nieces who live here in town. They keep us young with all their activities. But, definitely worn-out as well--however in a wonderful way.
= Still have a lot going on with editing to publish and/or helping others too.
= I am sorry to those who I have followed consistently but have not been able to continue doing so, but I will be back off/on as my schedule permits to r/r.

Hi Linda, Thank you so much and yes foootball is big here in Australia and with the finals around the corner it is exciting. My husband and my team both play each other next week so hopefully no heart attacks looming but it will be a good game to watch. My team the Richmond tigers won last year it was so good hopefully another win this year. ai am so pleased you enjoyed my cinquain Cheers Christinexx

Hi Ary, Thanks for reviewing my opem for this contest it was fun to write and of course watching the football gave me the idea as plenty hearts have a tachycardia especially when it is a close game. Hi Helen, Well yes I did use my knowledge but It seemed to fit the word requirement for line 4 and I am sure quite accurate in many cases LOL . Here next week my team and my husbands team play each other for a spot in the grandfinal so we are looking forward to that so our hearts will be in our mouths in anticipation. thanks for your look in Cheers Christine

My husband and my teams play each other next Saturday night so it will be racing hearts then ? my team won the grandfinal last year so I am hoping for a back to back win again. Go tigers . I can follow Aussie rules well but have difficulty with other football codes Cheers Christine

Hi Meeshu, Thanks for your review and yes Ausssie football is very cardio workout for both the players and spectators LOL Especially when it is a close game. My husband and my team both play each other next Saturday so we will enjoy that one and may my team win ha ha they are the best.
