I think I can agree with most of these but I'd add in about those that go to the cinema and proceed to eat a 3 course meal. Loved this fun filled rhyming poem Craig, leaves me smiling.
cheers,
valda

Craig, This is a very well written rhyming poem that speaks the truth for just about everyone. You used very good descriptive words. lol the picture goes so well with your words also. Best wishes in the contest. Teri

I agree with this. Even though it's meant to be humorous, it's not. All the things you're talking about boil down to lack of consideration for others. Some people don't give a thought to that. Good job. (Don't blame you for having steam coming out your ears.) Marilyn

Ha, thanks, Marilyn. There certainly are too many people who think the world revolves around them. Most grateful- Craig

Hi Craig
This poem competes verry well with its ancestors.
The futile anger of civilized men with hoodlums is everlasting.
was reading about how they give niacin vit. B3 to young offenders and
their behaviour changes to normal.
that simple... :-))Z.

Many thanks for the great comments and terrific rating, Z. I've just started taking B group vitamins myself, as I was thinking my B12 was probably lacking. Maybe that will make me normal! Most grateful :) Craig

Hahahaha, well, at least you're honest, Craig, if not politically correct, heh-heh.
All of your rhymed sestets are impeccably well rhymed and metered, but I liked stanza number four particularly. That's exactly the reason I go to the drive-in theater which is outdoors. Those screaming brats don't seem to bother me as much there.
Funny stuff my fiend friend.

I miss drive-ins. I think there might still be one or two operating in the big cities here, but they haven't been popular in decades. There are none within a few hours drive of me now. They were such great fun, ruined by VCRs, I think.

Thanks for the kind words and the lovely shiny stars, Dean. Both are very much appreciated :)

This poem, Therapy Works, is a funny and straight forward admonition to those who do all those annoying things you expounded on here. I'll give this to my son to use to screen potential brides.

A poem totally about Pet Peeves and a rather easy one to blow one's top at for many people are Burger Kingish and they want their way or no other way. You took the words right out of my mind when you wrote: "So buy some headphones and enjoy it quietly instead,
and then I won't be wishing I could beat you round the head.". Great job thanks for sharing , have a wonderful rest of your week.

This poem expounds on many people's pet peeves. The one I call into question is the child. It depends on the movie. But if the child is too young for the movie get a baby sitter of don't come. It is a kids movie and the child throws a tantrum, take him/her out of the theater unit the child is calmed. One of my pet peeves which you didn't mention is talking on a cell phone or texting during a movie.

Good luck and keep writing

Joan

I am so offended. Thank you so much. It's been a while. This is really rather fun and sadly reflects how I feel about most of these things. Another is going 40 in a 70 speed zone because you are looking at your stinkin phone!!. But I'm okay. Well done. I saw no errors. Rox
