Haha, I can see why you won first prize on this one. It is fantastic. I love poems that tell stories. It is really, really good. Magical little creatues gnomes are but I never knew they could get you thrown in jail, hah, I love it.

This is funny, with a particularly funny last line. How clever to find a rhyme with "psychiatrist." I'm sure I never have done that. It does a good job telling a humorous story. By the end I was thinking, "Gnome more to the story? Guess it needs a new chapter!"

This is an oldie. I was so shock it won a contest. I had to keep reading the notice over and over to make sure I wasn't reading it wrong. Thank so much for the great review. Maybe I will do a sequel.=}

When I check my photos, it's not there,
No pointed hat, no bright red hair.

First clue, but I was still surprised at the ending. Perfect last line.

Exceptional poem! I didn't know that his visitor was a gnome, until I've read it. The gnome does a little bit of everything in this poem. Excellent work! I like it.

Yes. I've been editing and sorting out my book. It is going to be published next week. I've already started the third and final one in the trilogy. I've also been on holiday, Austria! It was a treat from my son, and it was wonderful. Now back to writing. I think the judges knew what they were doing choosing your poem as the winner. It was so good, I loved it. :)) Sandra x
