This is a wonderful tribute to family. So many are fractured these days, children don't even know who their fathers are, so it is always great to hear of a whole family that know and love one another.

This is a lovely poem dedicated to your family, Chrissy :) I enjoyed your 8/6/8/6 quatrains which you have doubled up. Great abcb rhyme scheme that adds to the flow. I think you are so fortunate to have a book of your father's poetry to read. That's such an amazing gift to have. My son in law has his dad's journals that he enjoys reading to keep memories and family stories alive for generations to come. Congratulations on posting your final poem in this challenge. What a wonderful tribute to your mom and family. Such loving and kind words. I'm so glad you will be giving this to your mom on Mother's Day. We often wait too late to tell them how much they mean to us and what a great job they have done. I was blessed to let my mom know how much I loved and appreciate her before she passed and I knew she loved me just as much. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful poem.
