How very cute! So, your son's birthday is really April 1st? I loved the last lines:

But I do think you're really cool
And glad you are my 'April Fool'.

A perfect meter, rhyme and cadence here. Was a real treat to me.

The whole poem was a delight.

Hi Pam, Thanks for your review and yes I did laugh at his shock at my spider joke It is not often to get one up on him but the opportunity was there so I took it he did see the funny side ( must be a bit awful to ne an - April fools baby LOL and yes he is mine so thos line had a double meaning for me. I hope I can do a daily poem it will give me a challenge so I will see how I go Cheers Christine

Hi Robert, He's not to bad is he and we have a close bond so it was lovely to spend time with him on his birthday even if I got him with the 'spider' on April fools day he fell for it so we did have a laugh at his expense. I have written another April1st poem for the Northern Hemisphere April1st (It is the 2nd -April in Australia-and the 1st in America so I have done 2 poems now for the 2 First LOL Confusing isn't it Thanks for your review always appreciated Cheers Christine

Hi Joy, Thanks for reading my April 1st poem and hes it was very funny I got him a beauty and his fiancee and me laughed our heads off much to his expense bit he took it in good stead.
