The story is short and not funny at all. It is well written. I see no mistakes.
This girl definitely did not have any manners. She showed her bigotry here.
I am not a NASCAR fan. But they are just fans of one sport like fans of an other sport.
I would guess Chelsea Bush because she and her sister were always in the news
for their escapades. You don't have to reply to this guess.

Wow! That's quite a pitiful story, Brigitte! I am ashamed of that "educated socialite" as you call her, for her ignorance and lack of kindness. Did the driver confide this story to you or a friend of yours? I'm always curious how people find out these little bits of unpublished gossip. Your writing was clear, understandable, very readable and had good suspense and resolution. Thanks so much for sharing this story. MM

Thank you for reading and the supportive comments. Some events just need to be shared or is it venting?
Have a great day!

This is a very well written short story about the race care driver and the rude girl. You used very good descriptive wording and great imagery with the art work. No, we are not supposed to think we are better than anyone. Great job my friend! love, Teri

That story is a bit hard to swallow, but that's not the point here. I think the way you cozied into the story was appealing. You introduced yourself as a NASCAR fan, showed some evidence of commitment to the sport, and brought us to the idea of getting up close and personal with a member of the professional racing world. Then, this snobby shit takes an opportunity that you would kill her for and spits on it. That's the story and I feel you kept the tone right for this story.

I absolutely love your comments! I witnessed this little episode, therefore, I know it to be truthful. I wanted to vent so I wrote it to share. You can't fix stupidity or rudeness! Yes, I am lover of the sport much to my husband's chagrin. I have one room dedicated to Nascar "stuff". Thank you for reading and again your comments about the snobby shit made me laugh.
Have a good evening.

I am joining your clan. "Call me what you want, I know what and who I am'", is what I tell others. The picture, OMG, I love Bobby. My hubby gets a little annoyed because I have a whole room full of Nascar stuff. Manners are a must even if your rich! My parents instilled that at a very young age. The "brat" in the story may be rich and pretty but you can't fix the stupidity of such a remark. Thanks for liking and being so sweet with your comments.
Love ya back,
Brigitte (the ultimat Redneck)

your more than welcome to join...my kids were raised on stock car racing...my son used to drive...I have a redneck poem...LOL..they took the pictures down...but they were awesome...and you are so very welcome...xxoo love ya

You just made my night.

I bet the socialite tells the same story in her social circles and embellishes the redneck details. The driver had more class and education than the young lady.
I really like the way you organized the information in this story. It was a very easy read. I think the details you provide as a Bobby Labonte fan add authenticity to the post. I could tell you were a real fan when your loyalty went with the number 18.
I personally do not watch or follow NASCAR. Jimmie Johnson is from San Diego, so he gets some local play. But I'm afraid I might like it. Maybe I'll watch the Daytona 500 this year and root for Jimmie. Thanks for posting. No errors. I looked.

Wow. Coming from a non-Nascar follower this was an awesome review. I thank you kindly. Money does not make you classy! The driver was the class act in this true story. Come along for the ride in Daytona, it might be fun for you but don't get a crick in your neck when they keep turning left. I love my drivers and get an adrenaline rush at every race. I go to Richmond and sometimes Martinsville; am too old to travel much further. Thank you so much for this review and read.
Counting days until 2/28. LOL

An apocryphal anecdote, Brigitte. You'd think someone brought up in a political family would exercise more tact. Just goes to show that 'breeding' doesn't ensure brains. Stories like these need to be told.
Peace, Lee

Well my friend, you said it all. Tact seems to be an unused commodity in politics right now.
The driver in this true story was the class act. Her dad didn't win election, how tactless not vote for him, lol.
Thank you for your time and the lovely comments.
Blessings,
:)Brigitte

Hello!
Woah! What a read! Not only did I learn about Nascar, I also learned about a very rude daughter of a presidential candidate. Who knew? Kudos to loving Nascar and supporting its drivers. Your piece flows well, and I found it very interesting!

Thank you so much for reading and the kind comments. I love Nascar and this true story needed to be shared, in my opinion.
Being rich does not give anyone the right to be rude. The driver in this story was the "class" act.
Have a great evening.

I confess I have little interest in NASCAR racing, but I enjoyed your story mostly because your enthusiasm for the sport is so apparent. I am not sure we need all the preamble about the two #18s you root for, but learning about them was interesting. I do think you need to make it clear HOW you know this story of the rude young lady. Were you a witness or is this based on hearsay? Or was this incident mentioned in a racing magazine first? You merely say, "Here's the story." In other words, you need to establish its credibility.

First, let me thank you for the read and comments. I witnessed this event and therefore know it to be true. I probably should have mentioned that in the story. I wanted to vent, so I wrote it. Being rich is no excuse for rudeness and in my opinion, the driver was the "class" act.
Have a great evening.

It will add a whole new dimension to your story if you tell the reader YOU witnessed this rude behavior and saw the driver?sreaction.
