Good morning, DIP: My, my, my, this is another exceptional piece, DIP. I wish that I had clicked on your poetry last week. I really, really enjoyed this piece, it's deep and moving while it makes me face the truth in the world and give me deep thoughts. I love the repetition of "While I was sleeping" This was what made it all so deep and moving. It makes us all have to think about what goes on while we are sleeping. Marvelous.

I really, really enjoyed this piece, it's deep and moving while it makes me face the truth in the world and give me deep thoughts. I love the repetition of "While I was sleeping" This was what made it all so deep and moving. It makes us all have to think about what goes on while we are sleeping. Marvelous.

This is powerful. It's true that there is so much bloodshed, violence, and uncertainty in the world today. What some people wake up to is horrific. We are indeed fortunate to wake up in warmth and comfort, what with all that's going on in the world. It's good to try a different writing style. This really worked for you and had quite a message. Hi Dip, Amen! Yes, thank goodness we can escape through sleep. TV brings all these catastrophes home to us from all over the world, without ceasing. I have awakened to this new day
I now see this devastation
I hear of another death through war and terrorism
Another catastrophe...The same fear I am suffering right now. It seems so close it hangs in the air. This poem puts that across perfectly. An excellent write kindest regards (ps: I like the new formatting/ scheme) happy new year and well done love Meia xx

Outside of your comfort zone served you well, I'd say - I loved it! "While I slept" is a great concept, and the repetition here works wonderfully. In fact, I'd say this is my favorite of all your poems that I've read. Sad, but deeper than most, IMHO.
