Right on. Good for her! What an a**. Looking at his watch instead of at his bride is the best way to make her run away. He was not who she needed. Good riddance to him. She deserved a better life than she got. I feel sad for her.

I enjoyed writing that part. Well bred ladies in those days had no choice but to marry whoever the family chose to boost the family wealth. It's lucky it's not like that these days, I'd never have got married!! Thanks, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

YAY! She ran out of the church!!! I'm so glad.
I can hardly write this review because I want to go on to read more. Great writing!
I didn't see any fixes so I"m off to read more. Good job.

Aww, thank you so much my dear friend. I was imagining me going up the aisle to stand next to a moron! I would have said something about the pocket watch too, lol. Thank you for the lovely 6 stars, Linda, you're wonderful! Loads of love back and big hugs! xxx Sandra xxx

-Very nice image.
-A really good chapter that
keeps your interest as Gwendolyn
tells her story.
-We learn a lot about Jacob,
his background, and the
relationship that develops
between him and Gwendolyn.
-Jacob made her so happy and
Randolph made her feel miserable.
-Luckily for Gwendolyn, she could
explain the sickness because of nerves.
-The pocket watch was more than
Gwendolyn could take, and she had
the courage to do something about it.
-An amazing thing to do considering the time period.
-Well done, Sandra.

Hi Pam, thank you so much, my dear friend, for another of your really lovely reviews. You are right, it was not something a young lady would do in those days, arranged marriages were the norm. Gwendolyn took a big chance when she ran out of the church. What will happen now? Hmm.
I'm so glad you are enjoying this book, Pam. I was just saying to another friend that it has to be very different to the first book, yet the same, if that makes sense. I'm hoping by the end of it, there will have been enough differences in the plot to make the story enjoyable and not just a rehash of the first. So, your reviews are precious to me in that I think you'd let me know. Thank you for another 6 stars, you are the best, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

You are very welcome, Sandra. I don't know what will happen next, but I bet you do🙂
Yes, it does make sense that it has to be different, yet maintain some similarities, and yes, it is important to be honest if we are going to be better as writers. You are the best, too. And, you have the best ghost characters, too!!

Oh, those furtive glances at a pocket watch
they'll get you in trouble every time
It's the same today, with a glance at a text message
how little the world changes.
Of course, the father would have to be Jacob
to pass the albino gene on, but in 1846,
they knew nothing of genetics
kind of like looking for a pea in a haystack lol
Something biblical about him, huh,
like taking a young unmarried maiden into a hayloft
how little the world changes.
I like this chapter. It fills in a lot of information,
as Gwendoyln turns and runs out of the church
Unfortunately, there was no Jacob waiting for her.
So the next chapter should also be interesting.
Well done, my friend

No, there was no Jacob. Now Gwendolyn has a little bit of a problem. I've just finished the next part, I'm sure you'd like me to tell you what happens ... No you don't? Okay, lol. Thank you for another lovely review, Robert, and another set of those beautiful stars, you must be a really lovely person, my friend! Biggest hugs, Sandra xxxx

What an exciting chapter!
You had me glued to my seat right up to the end.... so Gwendolyn did a runner! Good for her.
I suppose things don't turn out so great, seeing as to Francis' situation, but at least she was finally honest and didn't marry that scumbag.
Great chapter my friend. :-)

Hi, Sandra;
Such a brave and wondrous thing to do in that day and age. So, she had this strange baby out of wedlock! I imagine she led a very difficult life,
Oh, I can't wait to read more!

It was totally frowned upon back then. So, I can just imagine how awful it would be, especially for a lady of high standing. Thank you so much, Patty for your lovely review. I'm working on the next part now. Big hugs, my friend. Sandra xxxx
I've just received your Christmas card and downloaded it. Thank you, it's lovely!! Sorting mine out tomorrow. :) xxxx

You are more than welcome to the card - I loved getting it made,

Hi Sandra. I never saw this coming what a twist to the story. So it was the albino, Jacob Argall who fathered the child. The story continues and like pieces of a jigsaw the plot is taking shape. I can't find anything to critique, spags or anything that catches my eye. Keep up the good work.

Thank you so much, Mel, I'm glad you liked this part. As you say, the jigsaw puzzle is coming slowly coming together, but there are many more pieces to find yet. Thank you for the lovely 6 stars, my friend, that is so nice of you! Big hugs. xxx Sandra xx
