A very good poem with excellent rhyme and rhythm. Perhaps you should update the
Word "fax" to "Email." Good luck in the competition.

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing my poem. I appreciate the feedback. You are the second person to mention a competition to me but I don't know what contest you are referring to.

It'd be nice if we actually DID something, anything, even if it is fixing a lawn mower while we try procrastinating over ... what... writing?
This is perfect timing for me to cringe and face reality. I've been cleaning a hate to say how many years badly cluttered garage for the past month. Not easy when you let things go so long. Age creeps up, so, Do it while you may!

I've had to alter my idea of what constitutes an accomplishment. My garage scares me. Maybe I can just move and leave everything where it is. Thank you for the feedback.

I love your: "should of could of would of" poem, my friend. It all sounds so familar to another procrastinator, lol. This was well done with great rhyme as well. ~Kerry

I think most of us are guilty of putting things off at times. But when the list of things to do fills a whole notebook things can get quite complicated. Thanks for the feedback.

Your very welcome. Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving:)

D.,
I'm sorry, I can't relate at ALL to this strange post -- procrastination...? Isn't that what this is called? Oh, no. That thing doesn't exist anywhere near me...
--cough--cough--
Now, what was I saying?
Oh, yeah. Interesting premise -- you should get that looked at.
heehee
Thanks!

I know how it is. I wouldn't know anything about that thing called procrastination but I have heard of it. Of course, I did start it some time ago and just finished it a couple of days ago, but that's just a coincidence. Thank you so much for your feedback.

Procrastination is the root of all evil, Delahay.
Now, I realize that most people say money is, but money in and of itself, isn't evil at all.
The longer we put off the more tedious chores on our agenda the more they pile on and accumulate. We get edgy then and hard to be around.
We alienate friends, family members and co-workers.
And, before you know it, more things have been added for us to do.
It's a vicious cycle, unless...
We keep on top of things and take care of them in a timely manner.
Life's so much simpler that way.
Well done!

You are right about how things pile. We let things go and the list of things that need to be done just grows bigger by the day 'till it gets to the point where we are overwhelmed. Life would be so much easier if we could always take care of things as they come along. And I've heard that money isn't the root of all evil, it's the love of money that is.
Thank you for the feedback.

Yep, you got it.
Here's hoping you have a very happy Thanksgiving.

Well, in my defense, I did start writing this some time ago so my procrastination applies. Thank you for reading and for your feedback but I don't know about any contest. I appreciate the good wishes, however. I have posted things before then discover that there seemed to be a contest I could have entered if I had known about it. And sometimes a contest has come up that a poem of my would have fit in soon after I posted one.

Sorry, typo. "poem of *mine".

I think procrastination could be your worst enemy.
All the best.

Hello Delahay, This is a poem that many can relate to. We've all been ther. Usually, when a person procrastinates, there's a subliminal reason behind it -- time, energy, money ... I don't care, etc. Of special note:
I've told myself it could be done
Like a kind of magic trick
(Oh what fun that would be if we could just wiggle our nose and the blessed mess would go away.)
A fun poem. Keep the blue waters flowing. LateBloomer

Hi, LateBloomer.
Thank you for reading and reviewing my poem. It would be wonderful if we could take care of things so easily. But I guess that would be too easy. I appreciate the feedback.

I think as this year draws to a close, what we've procrastinated on piles up in our, (I've decided I'm terminally ill concerning things I should do but haven't) well written Ward, the narrative is an articulately compiled work, well written, a thoughtful and expressive Freeverse presentation, good job, blessings, Roy

Well, on new years day we can always resolve not to procrastinate. Then we can do the same thing next year. Thank you for reading and reviewing my work.

Enjoyable little write here. We are almost all guilty of this sin. Never do today what you can do tomorrow lol.
I see somebody has already picked up your typo. I assume the Could Of etc is deliberate.
hugs

Yes, someone else pointed out my typo. I've noticed lately that I tend at times to type a similar word that starts the same as the one I meant to type. I don't know if I'm not paying enough attention or if I can blame it on getting older. And yes, the could of etc. is deliberate. It was either do it that way or use coulda, woulda, etc. Thank you for your review.

This is a fun poem about procrastination and a good 'Should of, Could of, Would of.
Sometimes, once you get into the rut of putting things off, it gets harder to get back on track.
I'm sure that most of us have a long list of unfinished projects, I know I do.

I have had to stop writing lists of things I need to get done. They kept getting too long. Even when I stuck to things I REALLY needed to do. Thank you for reading and for your review.
