Gypsy, this is a fine haiku in terms of its emotional depth, visuals, and sound. There is a certain soothing quality of listening to crickets. Your words are well chosen, including your use of the letter V. Your poem flows well and convey and image and a mood.

Haiku Club Challenge #11 Insects. Saw this earlier. Mikey did one of these insects types. Fleas on a Greyhound. He -- he. Some places in Asia they eat crickets. Chocolate covered crickets. Not BOO. Just noticed the challenge. Nice looking haiku. BOO-tastic!

Haiku Club Challenge #11 Insects. Saw this earlier. Mikey did one of these insects types. Fleas on a Greyhound. He -- he. Some places in Asia they eat crickets. Chocolate covered crickets. Not BOO. Just noticed the challenge. Nice looking haiku. BOO-tastic!

We do not get crickets over here, though the Kiwi's are very good at playing Cricket : ) but we do get cicadas in the summer months and they are nice to sit back and listen to. Nice Haiku Gypsy!!

HI Gypsy, how are you ding sweet girl???...just got back from my folks house..and I am with my daughter now...I remember living in Florida...we had these crickets outside our window...you could hear them playing...very nicely written sweet girl...love your poem...and love your picture...so good to see you...love ya Linda xxoo

hmmm not bad not one of your better ones if I may be so bold to say but then again its only my opinion. The punchline as I call it isn't as thought provoking as your others have been. Great photo I must say.
