So beautiful, and when your work is finished, then yours too, might be a voice calling to someone. Like you said, you really never know! Loved this, blessings...

Thank you so much for reading, the stars, and the insight of your comments. I am counting on somehow being able to visit my loved ones when my work here is done.

This poem made me cry. Maybe because I know how weary you get... maybe because I can so easily identify with the sentiments so beautifully expressed.. but I read it three times, and each time I had the same lump in my throat and the same blurred vision. Poems that touch me and stay with me long afterward are counted as exceptional. This was one of those. It is one of your best I believe. It is honest and open and real. Well done my friend.

Thank you for the galaxy, my closest Friend! I knew that you would understand the thought and feelings that went into this work that I had to write before i lost it in the muck and trammel of these busy days. Only those of us who have lost so many appreciate this sentiment. I did write this at the end of a long day, and it is my best effort to describe what I see and hear in those fitful dreams.

This poem, Callings, reminds me of all the windows I keep pasing that are big enough to walk out through. Fortunately I keep passing the open windows and will wait until a building falls on me.

Hey Bill, I know the feeling! Thanks for stopping by and commenting, maybe you can venture through one of those glass invitations and see what's on the other side!

My parents who have passed on, often come to me in dreams. Your words have much meaning and I believe those who have left us, do visit from time to time. Your poetic form is smooth and there is an almost musical flow to your words.

I think you have more understanding of the emotions and the thought that went into this poem. I am pressed for time but had to get this out before I lost it. Thank you so much!

Irish,

My went googly when I saw your name in my inbox.
I'm not on the site much, but wow, talk about timing.

I really enjoyed your musings about life, memories,
the past and our temporary place on this planet.
You have plenty of poetic devices in place in this
piece that make it sing.

Blessings to you,

Linda

So nice to hear from you! Thank you for the galaxy! I have not written in a long time, trying to get started again and get past all of the demanding things that continue to interfere.

This is a beautiful piece. It resounds with me like a precious oft remembered dream . Lovely images of sad, sweet things, like the return of voices long gone evoke a sense of melancholy, "sweet tho' in sadness" to quote the words of a Master. The piece echoes the words of Robert Frost's immortal words in the last lines of his "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening" "The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep. And miles to go before I sleep.". That sleep will come to us all in the Lord's own good time, so it behooves us well to make the most of the time we have while we are still awake. Artwork is Sublime. Beautiful thought provoking piece . Well done cheers Cass

Hello dear,
I don't spend much time here in the last few months... but I cannot tell you how lovely it is to read you again.
Your words are a balm to my wounded soul.
Keep writing, please.

Dear Irish, This has that ethereal feel to it that always makes wonder the same thing. I loved the power within this one, it has a mind contemplating outside the box. Lovely flow and smooth rhyme. But for me it was the content that had me pausing and reflecting on my own moments between time, space and place.
Nice to read you again my friend.
Thanks for sharing.

    Hello, My Dear, Talented Friend!
Thank you so much for reading, and the galaxy of stars! I knew that you, above all readers would understand the thought and emotion in the sentiment I tried to express. I feel the immense space, my tiny place in the vastness, and the certainty of the survival of the spirit.

I have not read any of your posts for a very long time. I don't know if I have missed them or you haven't been posting. I am so glad I was able to catch this poem. I've missed you.

Hello Barbara, I have missed you, too!
Thank you for reading, those stars, and your comments. I have not posted for some time but had to get this down before I lost the gist and grit. Hope to get back in the groove here.
