you satisfied the requirement here, and I think you had a great second line. the first line I didn't like. you can come up with something better than that. it sounds too childish. the last line was close but didn't work for me either. the second line is a nice natural sounding, conversational line that appears fresh in this form, and that's hard to do. it could use an image in line three to stand out, resonate. the first line too. say it with an image. connect it with our experience estory

The 5-7-5 poem about birds, Wise Owl, seems to be putting a dent in the reputation of that feathered forest mentor that knows the number of licks to the center of a Tootsie pop.

A very well-written short poem. The wise owl become wise because of all the questions asked. If we don't ask questions we will never know the answers.

a well-written contest entry, I think you have completed the contest challenge well. Your words flowed well line to line combining easily and forming the message of the poem for the reader.

Ha, ha. Very cute and clever. I like it. He's always asking questions, but does he get any answers? Third line is a good wrap up for your 5-7-5. Second line is my favorite. Marilyn

Yes, but we never learn unless we ask, so maybe he's not so dumb after all. I always said that a person can learn everything if he knows what to ask.
