This creative 5-7-5 poem seems so appropriate for the Ode to Winter contest. I liked the idea of sharing the brief life of a snowflake, for a few seconds anyway. The dance in the harsh wind, then the crunch beneath a harsh boot... not the kind of life I'd choose but it was fun experiencing it through the eyes of a snowflake. LOL
Thanks for this enjoyable read.

Nice imagery in the first line with the snowflake doing a pirouette. It is such a contrast to the second line with the harsh wind and fate. Excellent alliteration in "beneath booted". The poor snowflake didn't stand a chance.

Your poem is true and funny. That's exactly what happens to snow flakes. The theme flows nice, and you did a good job with the syllable count for this writing count. The picture displays the poem nicely. Good job.

Five stars. Poet describes shirt life of snowflakes and how they have fun for awhile and then meet extinction. Sharp comparison could be related to some young people. Well written! View mine also good luck.contests. liberty justice

I like it, it made me laugh, I almost expected you to say "beneath the heat of sun", I like it better your way, because of the humor involved. The picture and poem go nicely together and along with the wit, this deserves the five-star rating, thank you for sharing your work.

The picture blends well with the poem. You told a story in just a few words. I liked the idea of the snowflakes "meeting their fate."

This ode to winter, Fatal Frolic, reminds us that the beauty of the snow flake must be enjoyed by all, in the time of flight and falling. When the thrill is over, the reality of the gathered frozen mess is less romantic. Nice poem.
