That picture is just precious and fits your poem perfectly. I love your rhyme and rhythm scheme. It's flow is just right. It flows nicely and was a joy to read. I know you have to be excited. We have 6 grandchildren now, but I still remember the first. Good luck with your YOU'RE HAVING A GRANDCHILD contest entry...and CONGRATS on your grandchild who you will hold in your arms very soon.

That out of the way, this is a cute and moving poem, full of suspense and normal apprehension. I think we've all been where you are! You wrote it very well, if you ask me. I think--and I'm not always right--if a person wants to write, then write Time will tell if you have the gift or not. What do others say?

What a lovely way to announce an impending arrival and so much NOW by having a gender reveal party before the birth. As you said it flowed nicely when reading as you wanted, through the bold letters. A great idea. Hope all goes well,

The poem well reflects the happy panic and chaos for tge expected arrival. However soohisticated we get this is still one of nature's miracles. My mum was told for years that she couldn't conceive but I am here to prove them wrong.
I think i would call yhis syllabic freestyle but what's in a name.

Miracles do happen and the birth of a baby Brelynn is certainly one.
I liked your notes too. We have 11 grandchildren. Three used to live next door and then their parents divorced and that ended that. We still see them regularly. The other 8 live 3,000 miles away and some of them I've never seen. Heartache for me.
Congratulation on becoming a grand parent. I read once that "If I'd known being a grandparent would be so much fun, I'd have had them first". Lol

I liked your notes too. We have 11 grandchildren. Three used to live next door and then their parents divorced and that ended that. We still see them regularly. The other 8 live 3,000 miles away and some of them I've never seen. Heartache for me.
