I've seen this happen in so many Christian films. Always tear-jerkers. I like the reference to Communion as well as the use of green since that symbolizes hope too as in spring.

This is an excellent entry into the Penning Hope writing prompt contest. You have rhymed your piece perfectly and described a scene to despair shifting into reaching for hope. A beautiful and well written read. Best wishes for the contest ~DD

Dear foxangie123, I thought your contest was one I could really think about. I am in the middle of a need for HOPE right now, and you blessed me with the contest. Thank you.

An emotive rendition of loss, pain and suffering and when all is lost, the only one left is HOPE. Yes, when one reaches the edge, the only last straw to cling on to is Hope in God for only He can pull us through and He will not let us suffer beyond what we can bear.
Well done and all the best in the contest.

I love this poem. The rawness of feelings really comes through. It flows beautifully and makes so much sense. It makes one think of the hopelessness in many people in this world. Thank you for writing this. Best wishes for the contest.

Hi Poet!
The artwork is a nice touch to your presentation... absolutely the perfect choice. I like how you built up all through the poem to your one final word, Hope.
Good luck in the contest.
