There is never a dull moment when you are visiting your daughter, is there? I did not know they did simulated rides. That has to save a lot of real estate, and seems a lot safer, too.

Excelldnt dialog. Good use of questions, especially near the end as you set us up for the next chapter.

She keeps us busy. Glad I'm not the only one who didn't know about simulated rides.

Some of those simulated rides are very scary. It is a wonder both your hearts held up. Sometimes there are warnings for people that have high blood pressure. Glad you both survived. Look forward to the next chapter.

I wonder if I could have sued if something happened? :-)

Well written and definitely leads me to want to read the next post. The last time I went to a theme park was the one and only time I let someone talk me into the roller-coaster that went upside-down. By that point, I truly hoped I would fall out and die just to avoid finishing the ride. Take care, my friend~Debbie

LOL. That's what this coaster did too. I'm guessing Hubby felt the same way you did.

OMG! Jeff does it again! What was he thinking in terms of you and your husband having such an enjoyable experience concerning this "ride". I for one would not have appreciated such a frightening ride. Even looking at video gave me the chills, it's looks indeed like a heart stopping venture. Nicole, what made you go along with this plan? It is so true, that sometimes in life we truly are blinded by what's right in front of us before we receive true understanding or shall I say awakening. Please assure me this is what happened with regards to Nicole.

Maybe I should be flattered that she thought we were still young enough to handle this. (trying to look on the bright side)

This work has reached the exceptional level

I love the poignancy of the matter-of-fact narrative style, Shari.

Does your daughter know you are writing this book?

So glad I have a six for you today.

Hugs,

Sonali

p.s. presently spending a month with my dad. Real life is temporarily on hold. Hoping to get more caught up on Fanstory. xx

My daughter would skin me alive if she knew some of the things I wrote about. I told about the chapter of losing my purse.
Now she's worried about identity theft! For sure if , I publish I'll have to change names and places. LOL
Thanks for the six, SS. Enjoy the time with your Dad. I'm lucky to find time to post anything these days.

Ooh, those simulated rides can be so scary and real-feeling. you do such a great job of cliff-hangers...I hope the next chapter is comings soon. It is so difficult to have a 'bad' son-in-law.

They plan to finally visit us in May. Maybe he will have grown up since then. LOL

Very interesting account of that scary encounter with the Simpsons. I don't think I'd care for that ride, Too stimulating, even if simulated. Great description of the nightmare ride and the reactions of everyone. Jeff seems to be the only one who enjoyed. Interesting comment about Nicole's response and you questioning whether she just said she enjoyed to please Jeff. She seems to be the one with the pocketbook, but he's still pulling the strings. I am curious now to find out what Jeff did that set Frank off. judi

I hope when I write about it, I'll have insight into myself or a reader can help.

Will be looking forward to it. I think I have it on my list to read next. judi

Seems like there would have been some warning on this that it's a simulated ride - and 'get ready!' hahaha

BTW, you probably won't care, but I bought a used script from the Desperate Housewives series with all the actresses autographs scribbled on the front. My daughter loved that show!

I wouldn't have known what that meant-- simulated ride. What a new generation.
Wow, how do you buy a used script and with autographs too! I would think it cost a fortune. Tell your daughter I loved the show too. My favorite was the redhead, of course.

I got it at a silent auction. Only $40. But very cool. Don't remember who Mel liked best.

That ride sounds awful. I don't care for theme parks myself. I don't like rides, am scared to death of water, and can't stand huge crowds. I felt so bad for Frank. The way you wrote your narrative, I could easily understand why he was terrified. It was a good thing that you told him to shut his eyes. I'm sure it made the whole experience easier to take. One thing I noticed - since Desperate Housewives was the name of a TV show, it should be capitalized. Nice job with this installment.

Young people love that ride although I don't think my son and his wife could take it. So glad I hit upon the solution to help us through it. I meant for desperate housewives to refer to the girls not the show. Thanks, Suzanne, for a great rating and review.

I love the Simpsons so I can't resist. This is kind of scary in a way as rides go if you ask me. WOW. I imagine I'd be up for it, but I'm not noted for my sense. Another great chapter. This is such an easy read. I never skip a word and I'm always ready for more. No rush to finish, unless you need the cash. :)) mikey

Cash, I have, Mikey. I've saved for my retirement and have no worries. There's no doubt in my mind you'd love this ride. LOL
