It is easy to understand why this came away with the blue ribbon. Excellent cheer-up poem, my favorite kind. I like the endless possibilities of the bubble metaphor in this. Clever and fun poem. Congratulations on taking first prize.

OH this is wonderful! I love the rhyme...and more, the meaning. I still, at age 60, plus...lol! LOVE bubbles. Even the tiny ones from the Dawn soap when I do dishes! A perfect poem and congrats Star! Susan

Love your poem because it is so true, bubbles do make us feel better. Excellent use of words and poetic form. Occasionally, I feel like blowing bubbles like when I was a kid, they are also fun to watch.

Bubbles are the best. This year I bought my nephew a bubble machine and I think us big kids had more fun with it than the kids did. The younger kids got bored after awhile but us older kids did not. Great job friend

Glad you enjoyed it. Sounds like everyone had some fun with the bubbles. Used to get those big plastic loops to make giant bubbles, but I'm sure where you'd find those today. Do appreciate your comments. Cheers ... ;o)

Bubbles of any kind have an effect on young or old's state of mind. You can't even say the word bubbles without a light hearted feel. Good luck with the contest.
