Yum! Yummy! Yum! I love the golden brown glow to this, so well presented, I feel I can almost smell it coming to the table, and everyone just waiting to stop the chatter and enjoy. And, such details of artistic form, which are like a recipe for the sauce, or currents in the pud for me! Thank you, I wish all your Christmas hopes and dreams realise such delight, Maureen*&*

This is a fabulous 'essence' poem, Tom.
How on earth do you manage to keep track of all these names?
So glad to read your note on your profile page. Happy to know Karen will soon have relief from her pain. Hope all went well. Prayers going up, of course.

I didn't think there was another form that would inspire you, but you found the Epulaeryu with its epicurean theme, especially timely during the holiday season. I enjoyed your rhymes and exclamation. We plan to have turkey and pumpkin pie again for our Christmas feast. Happy holidays- Joan

Tom,
Another fascinating poetry form. You're amazing! Not only to KNOW these things but to be able to create them as well. Kudos, my friend! Great job!

Thank you Robyn. It's all out there on the Internet. Of, course, I still have to write them.

A great lesson in how to write a delicious Epulaeryu poem. Fun and fanciful to read, how great would be to taste. Lovely setting for a blessed Thanksgiving meal.

What an appropriate form. This is a delightful little piece providing a statement about your current festival, or at least one that was current when you first worked on it.

Thanks Pantygynt. I actually wrote it on time, then forgot to post. I did cook that bird.

I hope you enjoyed it.

A yummy looking cooked turkey. I can imagine the feast that you had with all the side dishes as well. I like pumpkin pie a lot. A great photo.

Yum! Looking good enough to eat. The smell of the turkey wafting in the air is comforting and celebrative. How it denotes the very idea of the pilgrims an.d the reason people set time aside for thanksgiving. Nice job! Drew

Well, I learned of a new poem today and it's pretty cool. The format is simple and the specificity of bring about food puts it in a close grouping. Nice poem that works for the season.

Treischel, this is an interesting format which I had not seen before. My head is swimming with formats to try. This could be one down the line. Patricia

Thank you patcelaw. A good site to look at for formats is Shadow Poetry.
