Hahahaha! G'day again Shari. Cop that huh? I am a firm believer in what goes around comes around it that is what baboy matta (Pig eyes) got that time. Well done, you just made my day and I look forward to Frank getting involved. Cheers Fez

Thanks, Fez. Revenge is good when someone else does it for you.

Nicely written, very matter-of-fact and informative. This one has a little different tone than some of the others, as though you have stepped back and viewed the goings on with more objective eyes. Perhaps this mirrors your feeling of increased control over your situation as you perceive yourself regrouping, adjusting, and carrying on with your life and your job.

I like that perception, Debbie. Hold on to that thought. :-)

Hahaha...demoted to the floater status...nothing worse for a core teacher. But like you say, what goes around, comes around. 8-)

It's like a demotion for a department head, IMO.

Interesting transition for all it seems, especially Piggy, who never thought she would have had the slightest chance of being displaced.
Thankfully, even though you were gloating on the inside, you didn't express it on the outside. Good for you, you could have responded like Frank : instead you behaved like the mature High school teacher you were. Piggy on the other hand, seemed to end up sulking. It was almost as thought she took her toys and went home, because the children weren't playing fair:)
Good read.

I agree. To not want to share her books was mean. She could have donated them to the library.

One needs to be happy at work because it takes up a large part of our lives. The workplace is very competitive. There is so much back-stabbing that goes on. Quite often people don't like to receive the same medicine that they dish out with such freedom.

I figured that was what would happen with Arthur. Guys like that are mostly interested in getting ahead, as he proved. Glad Piggy Eyes got her come-uppance, though it was a sad state affairs that she had to give up her domain, and to lose it to basic students must have hurt. A taste of her own medicine, though. It must have hurt her to sell her books. One wonders why she couldn't have kept them in her home, if they meant so much. I'm curious to see what plan you have in mind for Frank. judi

Not only did Arthur quit, but he married a chubby shrimp of a teacher in our math department. Nobody could figure out why he was attracted to her. Glad you made reference to the last line.

You're very welcome. It figures that Arthur would quit. Reminds me of a teacher in our school system. You could almost tell in her eyes that she was looking to the next promotion. She's now an assistant superintendent. judi

Once again the word "Whoa" escaped my lips right after reading this chapter. I again I became engaged with the powerful message it gave: What you put out eventually comes back. As this is my strong belief. In this chapter we find you and Frank in a good place and ready to progress with you lives. No turmoil to speak of. Great Chapter.

No turmoil, but I was so thrilled that Ellen got a bit of her own and lost her "crush" on top of all that. Anyway, I had to tell the FS world .LOL

Karma is a bitch, ha, ha. Good to see that she got a little of what she dished out. A good chapter that definitely gave me a smile. Sounds like Piggy is too set in her ways and is about due to be put out to pasture, or a cashier at Walmart. Goo stuff there, Spitfire.

As someone once said, be careful how you treat people as you climb the ladder. You may meet them again on the way down.

Very cool story - still interesting!
1.) "But give (me?) a call if you feel overwhelmed again."
2.) had filled built-in bookcases with hardbacks and picture books about the England and its literature.
--> delete 'the' before England?
And to Ellen, Piggy Eyes: Nyah!

Glad you enjoyed. #1 correction--since it's a dialogue, probably optional
#2-- an inexcusable oversight when I made some changes!
I thumb my nose at Ellen too. Ha,ha.

Hi Shari,
Take a look at the 5th pg. I'm thinking there's no need for sentences to be short and choppy (which is often done for effect).
Arthur had his Honors' classes for one year, then he transferred to another school. Piggy Eyes was disappointed, but ...
I can sympathize with Piggy - I'd go nuts if others messed up my well organized room. I like the ending - what goes around comes around.
Hugs,
Lou

Thanks, Lou, for noting that. I rewrote it and added extra info. It's really sweet when you have your own room. I did get lucky that way.
