Looking back, I think the problem stemmed when Mom gave us money to build on a room for her. Then Anne and Dee told her after five years I wanted her out and pushed her buying a condominium. Mother believed them and did so without talking it through with me first.

This really drew me in and I'll have to back-track and read it all from Chapter 1 when I can. I've just moved in with my mom who was diagnosed with cancer, so my time management is a wreck. I take it this is all based on your life and actually happened?

I was not aware of stents for the digestive system, but it does make sense. At least here, your Mom is safe in the hospital. Too bad your aunt is so harsh. Your words capture well the various characters in this real life drama.

What have your family done now? It would seem that meddling for their own gratification, instead of helping to do the right thing is the order of the day with them. I just hope they haven't talked your mother into going into a home. That will probably be the end of her if they have.

Oh no, what an ending hook! I'm glad the surgery took care of the problem...depending on where the narrowing was, sounds like she had some kind of stenosis. Why did Dee dislike you so much and blame you for everything? Look forward to the next part.

Everyone was jealous because I was Mom's favorite. We really were soul mates, more so as we grew older.
