A nice poem. I like the imagery. I do wish it was longer, but the format doesn't allow that. If you were to expand this, I would not object. I especially like the imagery...this seems like a very strong flower. Well done.

A beautiful poetic tribute via the terse and succinct Haiku for this wonderful expression of an aspect of Nature's beauty, the calla lily - pure and unadulterated in its form

Such a beautiful flower, as is your poem. Reminds me of doves, lol, I don't know why, but it looks like it to me. A very good contest entry. Your 5-7-5 is perfect. Well written. Good luck in the contest.

The calla lilly of south Africa is a great expression of beauty. its towering stem makes it possible for more to see its magical glow. I enjoyed your analogy and expression of love. For love is beautiful.

Your contest entry haiku presents a beautiful image of a proud(stands tall) calla lily(excellent alliteration with the addition of 'tall' in the next line); nice assonance as well (calla/asserts)

this is an excellent write, pharp, I love the beauty of this, I had never heard of this flower until I had the woman that catered my wedding want to do an appetizer that resembled a calla lily. I said no but when my sister got married and used the same woman, she made some anyway because she wanted to make them for one reception, lol. good luck in the contest

I am so glad you posed this Haiku poem about the calla lily. It is one of my favorite flowers next to the bird of paradise. What a lovely Bouquet the two stately wonders would make. I have artificial ones in two vases in my condo and love looking at them.
Where you state in your poem, that it stands tall and asserts its beauty with white petals of love is a perfect description of this marvelous creation of God.
Thank you for posting it. It is helping me to understand how to write a Haiku poem. I have been wanting to, but need to read more of them before I take a stab at it.
I remember when I read your portfolio that I mentioned how much I enjoyed them.

Beautiful image! I love the expressions: "assert's its beauty" and "white petals of love". The satori line gave so much depth and meaning to the confident beauty of the flower expressed earlier. Thank you for posting!
