The analogy I make is that your soul is the quarterback of your body. It must be protected with good deeds and never be sullied by a bad one. Good thought. Thank you for sharing

Wow. I like your thoughts better than mine. Mines simply whatever I must be, I have to strive at my best. Thanking you for your generous rate and splendid views.

I wonder though, at what time does that come, as most of us will not have this revelation, until near death, perhaps only after. Seeing ourselves comes hard often and seeing ourselves is to admit to or realize that truly is what we are seeing. I believe God does exist and I feel certain, that there is life after death. I don't think we will all have regrets, but many might. Finding where we belong in life is very hard, as only God knows the path he chose for us. Sherman541

I enjoyed this thoughtful poem. It is hard to see the bigger picture, but you are right, if we try to, it gives us a better perspective of who we are, and our role in this life ... as you point out in the author's notes. 'Our hour upon the stage'. I have no suggestions for making your poem better, and thanks for letting me read it, Ana.

That was an interesting poem. I loved the theme and how you seemed to compare things. It made me think about stuff a little harder. It was a really good, long poem. I especially like how you took your time to prove your point. Good job!

First thank you for your comment, forget the rate although well appreciated by me, its just the fact you like the work, my mission was accomplished, long indeed but telling a story, a give and take which might hold improvements

Your poem reminds me of the very first film of clash of the titans where Zeus the great god moves his poems on a chessboard like setting within an arena. Each moves affects humanity. This is how I see god. I also see the word god as a description od perhaps not one but a collection of superior beings ergo a god being just a description of some unique force not just a single beings

First over generous rate, with lovely interests points obtained from work, but to make an addition to your point of god, the term engulf the human existence as well, god a term used by angel to define unknown entity who came to create the heavens and the earth, some angels not knowing Him as their Former, even up today I believe in angel tongue or perception the word is defined as instructor, thus Jesus statement we are gods
