I think this is a most beautiful tribute to the one-and-only Brooke. I loved everything about it. I especially enjoyed the metaphors and the clear and unmistakable references to Brooke's rare talent. It is a wonderful poem of praise and appreciation.

I'm confident this would be a poem she would add to her repertoire. Lovely incorporation of poetic devices such as imagery and alliteration. Ahhh, and the music accompaniment is a real treat. Sue

Absolutely beautifully written poem, Jimi, which I know Brooke will enjoy. I took a Free Verse class with Brooke and she choice a lot of exemplary free verse poems as examples. Yours is, by far, the best of the Brooke poems I've read and I don't even know who Brooke is! You have a multiple pun involved in your poem which works.

Sometimes you puzzle me. I appreciate your comment about God or some gods, for I think I understand where you are coming from.
Yes, this stream runs through my son's property and I was trying to think of someway to honor our Fanstorian. Brooke and I joined about the same time. I never fanned her, for there was no need, for I knew she posted everyday and I cannot visit Fanstory everyday, my pm box would be inundated with her work. Her presence was always known.
Anyhoo... I wanted this tribute to be something unique and I do hope I accomplished such.
You take care, and again, a huge thank you and handshake of appreciation for your support of my work..

Oh my, you bring me to tears. On my way home last night I wanted to create something unique, something that represented this wobderful woman in my mind. As I crossed overthe Trinity River I was reminded of its incredible beauty and the serenity
which it imparts. Thus reminded of the beautiful brook that runs through my son's property. Walka, everything it offered to me was exactly what Brooke offers to Fanstory as a talent and as a human being. A poem was born! I will never confess to be a true did hard poet, but tge reception of this work humbles me greatly. I am simply inept at describing tjis woman fully. I pray for her safe keeping and return to our writing world.

Not only are your works FANTASTIC........they make ME WORK!! :) LOL! I mean....... "versifier's pen"........I had to break out the old dictionary for THAT phrase! Thank you for that. For making me stretch my cranial muscules just a bit.
This piece would have had more meaning to me if I ( as the reader ) had known "who Brooke was"......and "how she fit into your life". But. that said. It was a very sweet piece standing alone. Just reading the love you feel for this person and how you express that in words....that was enough for me to appreciate the chapter.

No truly, I am honored and flattered over your compliments and review.
Brooke is truly a talent which cannot be matched, with a wondrous soul and heart. Always giving of her time. If you gave a chance, you should look into her port. She is one of the most prolific talented wordsmiths that I know of. I, also, heard she was a magnificent teacher of poetry.
