Excellent
Your story is inspiring.
When looking into the water we see, not only ourselves-often in the style of a fun house mirror--there, actual, distorted, renewed.
Your story suggests the many hooks that Nature provides for us to travel through our minds, to memories, to the good times, and reality.
Each time is read your story, I find yet another reflected meaning, coming from above and below.
An excellent bookmark, for a path to reflection and introspection. Neat.

This paints a lovely picture of sitting beside a serene pool of water reflecting the blue sky and trees and prompting deep, relaxing thoughts.

What an awesome, beautifully uplifting message you've written here, Debi.
Good use of internal rhyme in your first line...
Great alliteration, as with "whispered wisdom", and "timeless truth trickles..."
A positive pick-me-up poem with an outstanding presentation...
Great work! ~Dean

How beautiful the heart does ponder
As the still waters shimmer
So the heart muses within
When the dreams of poetry begins
Well written and thought out

Comment from Dom G Robles
This poem is great. The image is deep, profound and sacred. The choice of words is great. You have to appreciate what she is painting. The descriptive tone and voice about the stillness of the water and its reflection upon the soul are admirable.

The words flow and focus more and more clearly and the lines decrease in length.
You also make clever use of alliteration, letting sounds repeat to intensify the experience.

As a lover of nature, I can relate to every word! This poem stirs that feeling deep within--of sitting beside a lake and literally drinking it all in! The ending is perfect:
...drop-by-drop into my thirsty soul
