I have a soft spot for the Minute Poem. You captured the difficult rhythm and meter perfectly. Great rhyme choices. Interesting near rhyme at the end with sure / more. This is a great entry in the contest.

You have nicely narrated the biblical reference in this poem. It's like a little story. I like the spiritual overtones your words carry. Good use of enjambment as well.

I know the contest requires only the strict syllable count, so I'm not focusing on the bump in iambic meter, which occurs in the second line. I like the ending very much. You've used this form effectively. Nice presentation, too. Good luck!

Thank you for catching that bump in meter. I meant to follow the rules for a regular minute poem, contet or not, but I admit, iambic meter still throws me. Thank you for taking the time to read and review. I appreciate it.
