This is a nice,short story with a theme I remember very well.

Thank you Friday. Actually it's innings factor I referred to with the minimum comment. I did make a correction to that and added 'most improbable'.

Loved your short, but sweet, reminder that baseball season has arrived! It has been a long winter and this is welcome news! (Although looking out my window I still see eight inches of snow....at least I know Spring is near!!!)

Congratulations on giving some credence to the bench kids. Most parents don't know nor understand everyone can't be on the first team.
Your story put forth a good message, one that all parents of Little Leaguers should read.
