Well expressed. Favorite stanzas are first and last.
"I stand at the ocean's door and bid the sea rise
I clear space
suitable for writing
a table for pen and paper
a coaster to honor all mothers everywhere
a cup sits to the right honoring all sons"

the universe

Good job, Mikey. I always enjoy your free verse style poetry. Your imagery is strange and reminded me of many album covers "back in the day", like an Elton John cover. (This is a compliment, by the way!) "Wolf in a tree . . ." Delightful.

Good job, Mikey, with your free verse about Reflective Thoughts. The presentation works well as you reflect on all your options, especially like that Kelly is on the moon taking a nap. :) And in the end, I like that you take ownership of all your possibilities. This seems like a nice settling in for the poet to adjust the work area and begin redefining the world in terms of creative importance. I like the reference to moms everywhere with 'a coaster to honor...' them.

Too bad there couldn't be art work. I see a man standing in mid air looking through a door at a table on the other side; a cloud and moon floating with dog napping on it and to the ground the ocean waves gently push upon the sand beneath table. Surreal. Free. Imaginary. You. well written and expressed.
