You explained the initials well. I enjoyed reading your post. It's always a good idea to refresh one's mind from time to time. You are right about that spam--it is everywhere. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Respectfully, Jan

Thanks Jan. Dunno why more did not pick this up the first time around. Perhaps back then a lot more were not aware of it.

Well I understand. I knew a lot were not familiar with it as it never got much of a look at the first time this was put up years ago. It is a way to protect yourself and others from unnecessary e-mails not intended for them or for you. I just put up a new ramble if interested and thanks for coming by.

Hello Sankey
I must say you have a very interesting information about BBC
Which I never knew existed. I do get mail for a person that lived in our home years ago. And there I am holding mail that I don't what to do with it so I toss it.

Very interesting, Mate. This BCC is something here to for, I have not heard of.
I don't have lists of jokes as you appear to, but the program would come in handy in other regards.
Thank you for sharing, my friend. Bob

Glad you liked it mate. I got it out again as I was pretty amazed not more folks pi9cked it up the first time around. Obviously, there are not A LOT OF mass e-mailers like myself or how I was in days gone by.

This is useful and interesting information. I always thought CC stood for co correspondant and I never used the the BCC. Carbon copy sounds strange in a way because there is no carbon involved. Noone makes carbon copies any more. I'm glad to know about the bcc. A lot of people have gotten themselves in trouble by answering cc mail because they forget everyone on the list is getting a copy and sometime write personal gossip back to the original sender. The one they are gossiping about sees it and never speaks to them again. It has happened to several friends LOL

Yeas not that is was a problem but I have accidentally CC'sa instead of BCC'd at times. I can imagine the problems some have caused themselves! Thanks for coming by. I am surprised more did not pick this up the first time around many years ago.

Thank you for sharing this option with us. Your descriptions are clear and easy to understand and follow.
I do use the BCC optioning in my mails; especially when people do not want others to know their email Ids.
Again, thank you.

Wise advice! I rarely used the BCC because I didn't see there was any purpose--you made it clear (DUH) that it proctects the privacy of the recipients.

Thanks! I posted this years ago and it surprises me more have not read it in all this time. It is a very helpful tool especially for privacy purposes. As I said it is not to whom you send but you never know what trolls are out there, might pick it up!

I never knew what that was. After reading this I realized that I will never use this but at least I know now. You did a great job and I'm sure you educated many with this.

Thanks old mate. I know I need to read some recent postings from you. I will work on it. It it surprising the number of people not aware of this handy little tool for keeping e-mail addresses private.

This is a very interesting piece of work that the author has created here. This is a sneaky thing to do. I have never resorted to this in my life. 😊
