This made me shed a tear, as Robin Williams was the best there ever was in the world of comics and other humorous shows such as Mrs Doubtfire, Good morning Vietnam, and many others. I'll miss him and so will many others what a loss to the world.
Thank you for this beautiful tribute to Him.

This was really surprising--no one saw this death coming;
A well-penned ode incorporating the finest moments of a favored TV program--it's ironic how someone with deep depression had the finest talent to make others laugh.
My best memory is the movie "RV"--I saw that with my sister and we had tears of laughter all through the viewing--he will be sorely missed.

Yes he certainly will.

Nanoo, Nanoo, you know you date yourself when you end it like this. Yes, me too. Loved the guy, had me laughing my head off with my mom watching Mrs. Doubtfire, had me crying my eyes out when watching Adam Patch.

Your poetic words capture the spirit and voice of one of my favorite entertainers. Love your last line of Nanoo-Nanoo,so fitting an ending. Robin will be missed so much.

Although very sad, very touching too! I think the writer managed to capture the spirit of Robin Williams a fantastic comedian and a gentle soul, gone far too quickly from this earth. A loss for us all...Nanoo Nanoo....very fitting and a lovely tribute. Job well done!

Wonderful tribute, T. I would have possibly voted for this if you'd put it in the contest for tributes to Robin. Good one! Just one slight issue sin the opening line--the scansion is forced because Robin does not naturally accent the second syllable--it comes on the first one RO-bin. So I suggest:
Oh, Robin Williams, Rest in Peace
Also, the last line has slightly forced scansion in the Nanoo's. (I think?)
How about this:
He'll laugh with you -- Nanoo Nanoo!
Anyway, this is not in the typical sonnet form, which uses pentameter but it works well with the four beats per line as you have it--flows great read aloud.
I especially love these two lines:
There's never been a sharper mind
To craft a quip, act unconfined
great meaning--so apt~!--and superb consonance of C-Q sounds!
Love this stanza too:
We'll miss your wit, we'll miss your style
It's hard for us to reconcile
Your sudden end, our funny friend
Whose spirit now from Earth ascends
Outstanding rhyme and internal rhyme. Especially applaud style and reconcile.
Very nice tribute to a great guy.
RIP Robin.
Warmly, rd

A very fitting tribute to Mr. robin Williams. You took us way back to the excitement and joy felt when he first butst onto the scene and the screen as Mork from Ork. Very thoughtful and heartfelt words to describe his impact on our lives! Good job!

Hello Treischel,
First I'm so sorry for not having any 6 stars left to grant you. I most definately would.
This beautifully written tribute to Robin Williams is so touching. His death has caused many many to mourn but yet speak of depression as well. Although your piece was so very sad I really like how you were able to toss in some humer as well. That just made it all the more perfect. Great job my friend and thank you for sharing with us all....love-hugs & kisses
