Hi, Gretchen.
This is such a beautiful poem and expressed so well, "the sweetest sound ever heard." There is no greater wonder than that first moment seeing your child. The artwork is beautiful and a great choice to accompany your poem.
Bye
Rosalyne :)

This is a lovely poem, GW. Yes, 'the sweetest sound ever heard' is the newborn's first cry.
The accompanying artwork is the perfect enhancement to your words. Nicely done. Alana

There is nothing like that first cry - especially for a first time parent.
These little forms are so hard to comment on. Let me just say I liked it!
New life! Lovely, Gretchen.

I will check it out. How is your Autobiography coming along? Great to hear from you and thank you for the review. Gretchen

Thanks for asking. Trying to move stuff around in sequence re the pets over the years, Schooling and my medical problems. Still a big job on Chapter 1 yet and broadening out of a lot more detail as suggested by Leonardo Wild some time ago.

Amen. I've heard that sound four times and there's nothing like it. I love your poem. Short and oh so sweet. A beautiful expression of a beautiful experience. Great job.

My neighbors are expecting their second child soon-your well-penned poem brings a parent's new joy instantly to mind;
"A newborn's first cry";
"sweetest sound"--no sound more wondrous than the first cry of an infant.
Excellent!
