Wow, so profound with nuggets of truth. Delightful!

You have written an essay that teases us to think in depth, explore possibilities and question challenges.
I love the following expressions:

"Evil is "live" spelled backwards"
"groups that have something in common seldom allow new thoughts and ideas from outside their circle into their milieu"
The fulcrum of your message comes across towards the end:

The physical world (hardware) and the spiritual world (software) must coexist for us to recognize our universe. Brilliant!

To me, the GOD of your essay is none other than Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, but you may choose to differ.LOL.

Jesus tried to describe, but is much misinterpreted. Christ nature lives in all of us...John

Each of use is the master of our universe. It could not exist without us. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a good read.

I like this Self Improvement Non-Fiction post. This is very well written and a very moving piece that I've enjoyed, because it makes sense, at a very deep level.
Great job Cogilator!

I just walked out of studyhall and my head is spinning!

"If a hundred readers were to read this post, there would be a hundred different takes on it. [A hundred and one, when you include the author-- a hundred and two if you consider the author's "take" when read on the following day. To paraphrase one of your earlier posts, you can never step in the same river twice."

Just like the operating system of a computer that operates its universe, the Grand Operating System (GOD) operates ours. [Which makes for a happy acronym!]

Thank you Cogitator! I wish I had a six left in my holster: I'd shoot one your way.

I, for one, love taking that less traveled road, 'C'. For what can I hope to accomplish by trail blazing the same paths as others that have gone before me? What can I truly hope to gain in the way of new information? Inventors often do this. They are risk takers, entrepreneurs of self enterprise. And, it is because of these brave men and women who have trekked into unknown territories that we have many of the conveniences that we enjoy today.

i had a very wise professor ask me a question, just out of the blue one day. he asked; Do you think there are any intelligent lifeforms in the entire universe besides man?

I don't know, I replied.

He pointed to a mangy, filthy dog digging in a garbage can in front of a house across the street form our campus.

You see that dog over there, digging in the trash? If I were to ask you if it had fleas, what would you reply?

Well, yeah, I mean, it is summer, and it's all covered in dirt and grime. Yeah, I'd probably say it had fleas, I stated.

But you don't know this for sure, do you? You base your assumption on the dogs condition, the climate, and the fact that many dogs just like it do, in fact, have fleas. It's an educated guess.

Yeah, so?

So in the vastness of the universe, and in all its endless galaxies, why are we so vain as to believe that we are the only intelligent life in all of it?

You know something? I began thinking very differently after that...

A well written essay, 'C'. Just as you did in your last one, you bring up some very pertinent and interesting points and perspectives.

Deep philosophical thoughts on how we as humans perceive each other and are able to recognise the people around us with whom we have something in common. You have made good use of language in the descriptions and narrative and it read well. Enjoyable read. Faye

This is a very thought provoking article. Much of it i agree and the rest very interested. Grand Unification Theory is a new concept to me. I will need to hear more for a clear understanding.

After Einstein started the ball rolling with his Special Theory of Relativity, it continued rolling into Quantum Mechanics and the train of thought then rolled on into trying to prove that the universe was one Relativity Ball, from microcosm through macrocosm.

Because the wave/particle has a dual quality that continually interacts and transforms, I have doubts about GUT proving that the universe is physical in nature. Metaphysical, I can envision. Thanks...John

Isn't that the truth. You are what your attitude says you are in this respect. If you want to know who is causing the problems in your life, look in a mirror. Recognize thyself. This is a well written article on recognition. I enjoyed partaking of this well written thought process... John
