This is excellent, debi. All lines are comforting and spiritual, well written and rhymed, but these are my favorites:
"He soothes my faint and troubled heart
And lets me know that I am part
Of His most grand and great design
That His pure love is surely mine"

Thank you, Marilyn. Again, I didn't expect a review since I don't have anything active. I have several things ready to go, but no time to get them posted and then follow up on reviews. Hopefully, work will slow down in a few weeks. It is so sweet of you to go back and find this one. It's been awhile since I've looked at it myself.

Hi Debi. It's a practice of mine to go back and read poems of others that I enjoy, particularly positive, upbeat, poetry that gives a spiritual lift. Marilyn

The One who calms the seething sea
Still reaches out to comfort me .. oh, Amen! What a comforting, blessed assurance.
Me too, Debi - I shall!
Your lovely quatrains lifted my spirits. What a wonderful way to end my day.
God bless you, dear. Have a lovely Sunday.

Hi Sonali,
I appreciate the review, especially since I don't have anything active at the moment.
Finding such a sweet message really brightens my Sunday morning. Thank you so much. I am so pleased that you liked it. God bless you, too.

Lovely and thought-filled quatrains. I like the picture, puts the reader in a reflective mood to read. I often need to be reminded to count my blessings and not get caught up in the things I don't have. I love to see faith poetry on this site. It helps me get centered.

Hi Joy,
So nice of you to stop by, especially when I haven't posted anything in a while and you aren't getting much in points or member bucks. I took Brooke's class on story poems and chose to write on a topic that turned out to be more complex than I bargained for so it has taken me all month to complete it.
Thank you so much for the encouraging review. I appreciate the kind comments.

solid rhyming couplets
good use of enjambment
effective alliteration in dark despair
good alliteration and assonance in seething sea
I like the way you come full circle in your closing of this compelling poem of faith :-) Brooke

w.j., this is a God-honoring write that has balanced a-a-b-b rhymes in each quatrain. It relays biblical truth in a creative and readable way. :0 GracieAnn

Dear Debi - your faith and spiritual message is strong. Your word choices also impart that deeper knowing of your path. I found this well penned and expressed your inner faith of all God is to you. Nicely done my friend.
Thanks for sharing it.
