This is a lovely poem. You paint a lovely picture and I can feel the peacefulness of a starry night. You planted a calm feeling in my weary heart at a time when i struggle with personal issues. Thank you for that!

Pretty poem. I find only one flaw, and that's the One that's bright/and not too far. You should make it into one sentence. I think it will flow better as a result. otherwise nice job.

This poem inspires me and encourages me, Gretchen.
I find it educational also in that prayer is not restricted to just one position, one location or formal ritual.
Your concept of prayer is a spiritual state of mind in conscious communication with the Divine source.

The picture is ...artist in thought..meaning..you saw it and said..night play..the fact the man is pointing up to the sky..unseen and showing the women who looks in awe is just amazing how the poetic mind wonders in beautiful thoughts. Love this poem.

What a great poem and with such meaningful words. Loved the odd art work. It looks like a huge picture displayed by and lake. I do fine peace when I petition God. Also, when I meditate on His Word.

hello. Thank you for the wish. I hope to relax and meditate tonight. To read a quiet boook with my dog by my feet. This is a nice poem with a soft, warm , feel. faith is faith I figure, like you whatever makes us more at peace.

Very beautifully-stated poem, bringing to mind many of the familiar lines we've associated with evening & wishful thinking & pondering, but expressing the whole in a fresh way. I especially love the last 2 lines, reminiscent of the old bedtime prayer "I pray to God my soul to keep" . . . but your version is more deeply felt & conveyed. Thanks for sharing.
