The ending flow of this beautiful nonet gives great thought to the understanding that forgiveness does create birth of the spirit in mind. At least this is how I took it. Lovely

You got it spot on again. Yes that's what I meant. The beginning is about overcoming a depression and being reborn after conquering it, letting your memory forgive. Thank you again!

Absolutely. The trick is to do this everyday until it is done automatically. Where'd you get that snapshot of me? Hahaha. Love this. These forms can be so effective with the right topic and the right words. I don't think this would be written more perfectly any other way. I like how the form itself points to the certainty of the truth of the words. Not a fan of forms, but then, damn this is good. I guess its's all relative. Great is great. Lots of boring sonnets out there and mindless free verse too. mikey

I Completely agree Mikey. And yes there've been a lot of boring sonnets etc out there recently. You got this right on. Thank you. I usually don't do these forms as I feel they are "novelty" and restrictive. But, if you can fit depth into it, it can be pretty fun, pretty tricky. I really appreciate your review man. Thank you...

I wish my husband would read this, he needs to wake up and be a new man, lol, this was very inspiring a bit sad but thought provoking, the pic is great as well.

Haha. Thank you Joann. It has a positive aspect towards the end. Letting go of the past, etc. conquering depression. That is the true meaning to me. Thank you again! :)

In other words, from the ashes arises the Phoenix, only in this case, the flower of new life red as the deepest flame. Worn memory's forgiveness becomes the ash that fertilizes rebirth.

In a way, I read this as overcoming oneself, to let go of despair and anguish and hatred and instead allowing room for happiness. In another way, it can also be interpreted as simple reincarnation, shedding one form to don another. But then, aren't they both forms of rebirth? Perhaps it is a bit of both. The poem flows well and fits the meter. I like the picture, it captures the essence of overcoming quite well. Good work! :)

Thank you! Yes I suppose it is both. But the first read was where it came from internally. You got it exactly right. I love that. Thank you so much for getting it! Its rare to find such a good reviewer. I'm sure you're a true poet.

What lovely words, and what a lovely illustration to go with it. Your nonet and your author notes make a wonderful contest entry. I like the idea of waking up reborn. Good luck in the contest. xsx sandra

This nonet, well structured, features a thought-provoking message. One might read it as resurrection following death, another see reincarnation, and others as rebirth of changed lives. Nicely don.

Changed lives indeed. Overcoming a dark depression, reborn into a brighter life. Truly thank you for reading.

when you go to sleep and rest you are putting your problems in God's hand for the night so you can have peace of mind to sleep and wake up refreshed in the morning
