Nice! You make me remember the old movies, An Excellent slice of poetic darkness Dean, they don't seem to make any kick-ass werewolf movies anymore which is a shame, I remember the old classics, An American werewolf in London(my favorite), the first Howling(a very close second) and Silver bullet, even Jack Nicholson's Wolf was cool in its own unique way. Always nice to read you mate...
I hope to be back on site soon, it has been way too long, but life(work)is crazy busy at the moment

An American Werewolf in London, directed by John Landis. That is my all time favorite wolfman movie as well, Hitch. The way humor was intertwined with the horror is what made that movie tick for me. That, and the most awesome transformation scene I've ever seen, before or now.

I really appreciate you popping in to have a look at this one, and I really appreciate the kind comments and review!

Very eerie and unnerving poem, captivating actually, as well as quite interesting author's notes. So much more to us, our psyches, than meets the eye. Your piece created quite the picture for the reader to see as well as conveyed a feel of an earnest desire to rid one's self of a curse, sympathy from an old woman who could not magically make the bad go away, and fear of the unknown and the numerous demons that exist without and within.

Hi, my friend. I am appreciative of your notes..very interesting. Freud kicked the bucket the year I was born. Perhaps there was something behind that concerning me. LOL. What a genius you are, Dean:

"Lunar legacy darkens deep - your soul,

beware moonbeams luster, luminous glow!

Wolf's bloody malevolence will be sought,

undoing the good in the life you wrought."

Bravo! Bob

Absolutely brilliant! Each stanza a poem itself. The imagery, rhyme and flow are superb. The reader is allowed to feel the torment of the 'cursed one'.

Kudos!

Take care,

Ray

This is yet another dark and sinister poem from the author in this piece of writing. There are some striking images conjures up in the mind if the reader by both the words and the images. The moon has sparked the imagination if human beings since the dawn of time and it will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

Hi, Dean.

What a haunting atmosphere you create here!!
Excellent word choices add to the drama of your write.
Stunning presentation for your work.
The use of rhyming makes it fluid.
It is rich in phonetics with abundance of consonances and mixed assonance.
Your notes are informative as well.
I enjoyed reading this.

Wooooo and I just had to read this at night 1"45 am. Thank you for not posting a video with this. I don't think my heart could have taken it. This was really scary and wonderful at the same time. And the art work. Well that's the darkness of you. LOL Just kidding.

Hah, thanks, amahra. Yep, no soundtrack with this one. The only time you need worry about music or sound is with a PictaPoem, and I will always include that name in the title--just so people will know.

You know Dean, your stuff is so good and the presentation so great, it astounds me. As a child, and even now many years later, I still enjoy a good horror story. I remember staying up late and catching Lon Chaney Jr. with the rest of the gang. It was the best! Thank you.

Thank you, victor. I used to do the same things, frequently sneaking out of my bed after mom & dad had gone to bed, to catch the Creature Features, which my parents forbade, of course.

I appreciate the review, my friend.

Life was and is, pretty good. Once in a while I will watch those old movies because there is still some magic there. Take care.

Dean..it really amazes me how you come up with these poems of terror, scare, and horror. You're in a class by yourself. I haven't ran into anyone who can do what you do as far as genre in story and poetry. Excellent.

Another night of pleasant screams! Not if I can help it! I thought I was reading a science fiction novel, or almost watching a movie, as the imagery was so prevalent. I would never like to see a werewolf! good job. Miss Sally
