An interesting set of quatrains and an even more astute subject choice.
I often think it's rather odd how we consider reading the papers a relaxing pastime and one we rush to do each day.
These days the papers are filled with stories of the downside of life which far outweigh those of the good side.

Thank you Shiley. Good question.

You could have been writing about my Dad! His day does NOT go well without the morning papers - he's shocked that the next generation grabs the news on the run on the internet!
A gorgeous pic.
Have a great weekend, Tom. :)

Hi, Treischel,
"Morning Paper" is a nice little quatrain structured poem with good rhyme, flow and imagery. It has good quality figurative language and imagery. (acuteness in abundance).

A well written poem with two quatrains and a abab rhyme scheme. You have done a very good job with the structure and keeping the syllable count a strict 7/6/7/6 while still creating a fantastic and sensible read

Really good poem.
It's simplicity is its strength and it portrays one of those easily accessible situations that many many people will associate with.
