That might work for you, but not necessarily for all couples. Lots of wives couldn't be honest about how they judge their husband's talent. Many wifes are intimidated by the big guy's big voice, or his judgemental attitude. Many couples exchange empty complements and empty praises.

Dear Al-creator: Could this all be condensed into one sentence? For Ex: Women can are better at discerning their inner self than men.
However with that said, and may I note that I might be completely out to lunch on this one, I did enjoy the mental manipulation.
