Hi Allcreator Litt Dear

Interesting thought to ask one's spouse for a view of your status - it could lead to some rather frank exchanges. But I expect it depends on how confident one feels in oneself.

I think I know what you mean by, 'non-professional' wife, I think you are saying listen to her rather than ask for professional help from someone who studies human behaviour. Your wife would know you better than anyone else. I know what my husband is thinking all the time, LOL, wouldn't tell him THAT though!! Really good bit of advice, men should take it on board! xsx Sandra

Another fine piece of advice, Alcreator. Yu have a way with words in expressing good suggestions and outlooks on the human condition, I'll give you that. Bob

I'm not sure what you are trying say. If you mean we should listen to our wives then okay. But the whole non-professional wife may be insulting to women. Again this is not a story or an essay. It is closer to free verse poetry. I am in way trying to insult you, but this is one you may want to edit and think about some more.

Hi Dear. This is a bit of a poser. Are you meaning to say that the real personality of the person can be found in the assessment of others who are not of equal status? In other words the waitress in the caf© who is treated haughtily by "nice" women who then go on to be obeisant with the President's wife? Sadly, it comes across as a tad sexist in our part of the world as often the wife is professional and of equal or even higher status in established hierarchies. I do like the idea though, so keep on writing my friend.

If I were to let my wife determine my position and status in life I'd be up sh-t creek without a paddle. She's the last person I would ask for an opinion about my truth worth. Bizarre idea poorly executed. Confusing sentence structure. Needs a lot of spit and polish.

I like the story. It sheds light on who you should trust. I like the way you told the story. I like how it was almost a poem, but not quite. Overall it's a good story.

Interesting message. I think the concept of asking others for encouragement while you are struggling is a helpful though maybe incomplete way of dealing with your struggles. There were a lot of odd grammar choices. Perhaps you made them for a purpose, but as a reader I found that they distracted from what I think was your overall message.

"Want to know in your hard struggling days; what are you, or what is your status?"

The structure of this sentence is just odd. Perhaps you could add "Do you" at the beginning of the sentence and remove the ";" or place commas after "know" and "days" and, again, omit the semi-colon. Also, did you mean "who" you are?"

"In confidence, let your non-professional wife tell her views in a word about what you're actually."

It might flow a little better to use "you are" rather than "you're" here. And, again, should you use "who" instead of what?

"Freely allow her to tell, find her story with true rating about your position and status. "

If you linked these with "and" instead of a comma it might flow a little better.

"Enthusiastically, discover a real person in you by her frank thoughts, secretly."

Why "secretly"? Do you mean between you and your wife? I think overall this was just a little confusing and your meaning was a bit lost.

Hi Al,

Another thought provoking write. I'm not sure what you mean by non-professional wife and I think some will be put off by it. In your second line you leave the word 'actually'' just hanging there, with no explanation. You could say...about what you're actually about...jut my thoughts. Well done, chey

Why not look in God's Word (the mirror) which gives us our true position before Him. His opinion is the only one that counts, after all, eh?
