This is fantastic! The rhyme, the rhythm, the flow. I couldn't stop reading and it allowed my imagination to be nurtured. Feeds the senses. I like that. The music added to the suspense but even if you didn't have that it would still create the effect. The artwork, perfect! So, absolutely delectable!

I imagine if you lived in a town saturated with demonic urban legends, you might well think you saw strange things happening when it was only the wind, or poor memory of where you left your car......on the other hand, one can't help but wonder - like mythology, might there be some seed of truth behind the tales of hauntings?

One thing I know...if I ever stumble across Harker's Mill Cemetery...I'm not hangin' around after dark!

Great construction and story telling!

Good point, Leineco, it might cause you to believe certain things, thing that others don't comprehend.

I truly appreciate your fantastic review, my friend!

Hi Dean,
This is such a well-written eerie poem. You gave this just the right amount of creepiness and mystery. I really like Myrtle Jasmine, who lurks in wait for her next victim. Your note at the end of the poem is very interesting. Thanks for sharing these fun theories.
Bye
Rosalyne :)

Ha ha, like "THE PLOT", he says...You're a trip, dip, LOL!

Seriously, I am very thankful for your continued support of my 'pictapoem' series. Seems the music has stirred a few fellow Fanstorians up a bit. Oh well, you can please all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time...but you can't please everyone, right?

Another creepy and shriek provoking Halloween romp, with a nice dose of smut sneaked in. (executioner hanged her 'for I'd had a taste) Oops - I read that wrong. He wanted her before she was hung. (you see the way my smutty mind works)

Wait a minute! I'm now reading further and you are writing about necrophilia - just had the wrong guy. Well, what can I say, dear Dean, that hasn't been said already. You have one warped wicked imagination. Kindly accept the sixer as my way of encouraging you, hee hee.

Hugs, Lou

I thought about giving four stars, but it isn't fair to penalize someone for what I consider questionable content. But I didn't have to read it, did I? Yes, you warned me...

The poem has a good rhythm and the storyline is quite something. It is not often I read a poem about attempted necrophilia and murder in the same work. Let's call it quite interesting. Thanks for sharing, Brent.

Well, my sincere thanks you for being objective and rating it so, Brent. I do appreciate that.

I made sure the dirty old guy got what he deserved. Or, rather, Myrtle Jasmine did...

Not a problem. I'm sure you have received some rather pointed reviews. Thanks for the review vote, Brent.

Not really. Believe it or not, every single review has been very favorable. Most know it for what it is, jsut a terror tale. Nothing more, nothing less.

I saved a couple of sixes and this poem seemed like a good place for one, I six it for the whole production, the music is just right, and I even put the 'warning' in with the production, interest grabbing for sure, the author notes provided interesting information adding context, and last but not least, the poem itself is an excellent write, tight rhyme scheme and a well crafted story, great for the season, enjoyed it a lot.

Thanks so much for your continued support of this format, mickbey. It has come under some scrutiny lately, because of the music. However, I will continue to create poems such as these, just for people like yourself who appreciate them.

    Thanks again, my friend.

Nice! Loved the little twist at the end there Dean, after thinking to myself, he ain't going there, he ain't going there... You didn't :) Fascinating notes mate, I do enjoy them, they are a great touch.
Watched Mama, it was entertaining to say the least, a little spooky at times with a few cool strobe light BOO! Moments :)

This very well written. Just as I was taking a complete dislike for the caretaker and his intentions - nasty necrophiliac! - it gets worse when Myrtle-Jasmine sucks the blood from his body. A grisly horror story. You keep coming up with them. Well done in nine good stanzas of rhyming couplets. Regards Dorothy/
