this is very well written, dean, you did an excellent job writing this poem about the victim that became a vampire and drained her caretaker's blood. i enjoyed reading it and your author notes. your pictures are so big i always have to scroll back and forth to read your poem

Oops! Sorry about the scrolling part, sweet. When you place a poem within a photo, it is very hard, at times, to see the text. So, you have to make it large enough so that everyone can read it and see it easily. It's a tricky deal, but I'm getting the hang of it.

I have always found cemeteries really peaceful and relaxing, but I must admit, there are cemeteries where I would not go. It seems like evil just lurks there. Thanks for sharing another master piece.

You are exactly right, CR Delport. I wrote this after walking in our town's local cemetery. I frequently take walks there to think. The idea just suddenly came to me. I am very glad that you enjoyed it, thanks!

When it's time for halloween, everyone young and old gets excited or shall we say agitated.
What's going to happen around the neighborhood especially in the town of Harker or at the Harkers Mill Cemetery to be more precise.
The evil and the devil can surprised and frightened us until 'we cannot see our nostril holes' as in an ancient Chinese quote.
Strange events do happen in life. We will try to give excuses or reasons when unnatural things or events happened. We brush them aside as it there were just coincidences but are they?
In this story, apparently something weird or sinister is going on here as well as in the church.
Was this abandon house of God had been made into another house for the dark side.
For those who don't believe we can understand but if we ask them to spend 3 nights in that abandon church in Harker, they will flatly refuse without attaching any reasons thereto, lol - this, we cannot understand.
Excellent write from the master of the darkside. The fact that this was written as a story with some loosely documented facts and news, it does give us the creeps thinking about the possibilities!!
Just remember to close our eyes tight, wear the ear plugs snuggly, and a thick blanket cover will be welcome too as the wolves and the dogs howled after midnight - telling us the feast of raw flesh and blood had started.
Don't be the next victim ..... of a Halloween prank, of course. Smiles.

I agree, just because something can not be explained through scientific means or otherwise, such as paranormal phenomena, does not mean that it doesn't exist. And, with popular television series which revolve around ghost hunting and all studies of the paranormal, I believe you'll begin to see a wider, more accepted viewpoint of such things; those dark, creepy things that go bump in the dead-of-night...

If we can look upon those bumps in the dead-of-night as something to spice up our lives and imagination, these bumps are worth exploring the possibilities.
Nothing is not possible in this world. Who would have thought we could go to the moon in the 1920's? And when the satellite spins out of the Solar System -what are out there but they are there for sure. What will we find of see something we never dream of in our lifetime? No one knows and that the beauty of the bumps we get on our foreheads for being overly stubborn to believe in the possibilities of the impossible. Smiles.

Now I am wondering why i am not afraid of ghost! Need to check them out and ask them personally, lol!

Hi there, thank you for sharing. I struggled a bit with the metering on the second stanza... I might have to look at it again when I'm less tired but something feels a bit off there...I'm not sure why. In any case, I felt this was very well thought out and a wonderful story to go along with it... (also terrifying).

Hah, thanks Mike! Ghouls just wanna' have fun, right? (I believe that was a Cindy Lauper song, hee-hee...).
That is precisely how I do it. Paste the text into a photo in PAINT on Windows, resize the photo to make it clear and legible, refine it to HD, then generate an HTML code and paste the entire creation into the advanced editor on FanStory. Easy enough, right?
