Very well written Dean, and the authors notes added to the effect of the poem. Being the type of person who believes in God and archangels and the like, I do believe that there are deomons and so on that are probably more powerful in certain areas. Got directions to this place?? :) SS

Well, all I know is that it is somewhere in Ohio, my home state. I'll bet I could find you some on http://www.hauntedohio.com,, if you really want to go, LOL.

Thanks for that great review, SS...

This was another frightening and great poem from you. Again excellent presentation, the sound in my laptop is not working today though, but I am sure it must complement the eerie and scary feeling of this poem very well. I loved to read the author notes, it's amazing your research about horror stuff. Particularly the last stanza is my favourite, it leaves the sense of suspense and danger in the air, one must stay out of that cemetery. Execellent job.

Dean, that is wonderful. Omg you are soooo clever. Perfectly rhymed and I spoke with the accent as I read along. Lol Suitably creepy and beautifully written. Absolutely deserving of your awards. Sheryn :-)

Thanks very much, Sheryn. I'm so glad that you liked this one. I had my doubts about even posting it, given the subject matter, but the "good gal" does win (sort of, LOL) in the end...

I really appreciate the fabulous review!

Great poem... you really brought the legend you wrote of, to life with it! The creepy music is the perfect background setting, and the author's notes add to the believability of the legend...Awesome!

Hi Dean, you kill me after reading your poems, and the appropriate music made me jump off my chair, I try to think its not true, but somehow, you write it so well that I agree with you. Love your scary poems. Hope I can sleep well tonight, and wake up by the unknown. Hehe You are thee top writer. Hugs Terry

I'm giving you six for this poem, because I'm not likely to see anything better on this site.

It's just as well that Myrtle woke up when she did, otherwise it would have been a different type of poem. LOL.

Not too brilliant for the caretaker though, serves him right.

A masterful production, better than coffee in the early hours to stave off somnolence. Good work...

Holy crap. You are too darn good at this! Scared the bejesus out of me. LOL. Is this the cemetery you and your family will be visiting Halloween night? Uh, if I said don't go, would you even consider not going?

You get my last sixer, buddy.

    Hah, thanks, Dawn!

No, the one we're going to is called Witches Circle, in Indiana. But from what I've heard, it's just as creepy!

Dean, wow, such a creepy, crawly, horrifically intense poem. The sounds, and pictures do it justice as well. A great poem for this time of year. Thanks for sharing the extra history of the cementery with us as well.

Wow, this is quite a story and poem. Have you ever been there. Have you gone at midnight. It sounds so scary and spooky. I know of a few places like that.
