Such a true account of the crucifixion of Christ. Your words describe the horror of it all. It is so sad to think of the horrors that man can do. He suffered and died on the cross so that we could have eternal life. There is no greater love than that. God Bless you for a piece that is well written. Sararb :)

You excelled in the art of poetry with this piece my friend. With the sound you have put with it it just makes for so much better a read and actually allows the words to sink in. Well done and your pastor is right, spread the word.

Definitely six, I don't know why this won't let me give anything higher than five, but I tried. I loved this poem. It's beautiful. It covers the day Christ died and lays it before any who would seek to know more about Him. God bless you for sharing your faith so beautifully, both in word, sight and sound.

    Ah, don't worry about it, emjaihammond, it happens to me all of the time, too! The fact that you thought that much about it and enjoyed the presentation is worth far more that any six star rating you could give me. I appreciate it!

This is such a true realization of Christ's crucifixion, along with the hammering, making your poem come to life & letting the reader know the importance of what occurred, that day, & how it can change one's life, to take up our cross, even though you didn't put that phrase in your poem, & too, to follow Him...Though, done in a manner, that I have never seen before....and gave up his ghost, interesting...

Yes, Dean, the Pastor is true, our duty as writers is to effect change if not to evangelize our Faith in God. I have to be honest, I am not into crimes and murders and blood, and the gory details of killing, I feel we become instruments too, of criminality because those with criminals are imaginative and also creative like the writers and sometimes our work nurture them because we constantly feed them with new ideas on how to kill their victims. I like more this piece, for it is about unflinching faith in God the Father. God bless, my friend.

WOW! That is an awesome poem! The terrible picture that the words paint-

"His flesh was beaten, tattered, so torn-

Mankind's sins, into which we're all born

spat on, ridiculed, with viscious scorn-

Adorning his head-- a crown of thorns."

The sacrifice for our salvation! Priceless!

This is an amazing piece, Dean. And great use of color to enhance the theme.
"My God, how much longer can this last?"-- This reveals the human side of Jesus.

You make it so clear the pain suffered for us. I didn't turn on the sound track. More than I could bare.

Ground split asunder, quaking the earth;
our eternal Salvation, given birth.

Genius, my friend.
