This was a blast from the past 2013 to be exact. Every Fall I fancy myself Stephen King. That delusion usually fades November 1st. So as a reader you don't have to suffer through for long. Thank you for the read, review and the virtual six. I'll take it! Gretchen

Wow, this is quite a story. You almost had me believing it was true until I looked and saw it is fiction. This is a most creative story. You should have entered it in one of the science fiction contests. I bet it would have won. Great work.

I don't question your plot - it's yours. but... I think many writers couldn't stand the prospect of anyone keeping that secret.
(Maybe that's why you wrote the story - you couldn't keep the secret any longer!)

Thank you for the nice review. I have been trying to write about a time without cell phones, DVDs and the internet. You had to go out looking for adventure and intrigue. Not just google it. It has been fun and every time one of my kids says "why didn't they just call for help?" I smile and say, "we didn't have cell phones in those days. I'm waiting to astound them with the fact that we only had three television stations. It's gonna blow their minds.
