Not only a laugh but, I found this very interesting (having been married thrice) and a lot of home truths. I think this is a great piece of writing. Well done in the middle of the night.
Cheers
Rose

Thank you for your kind review. I am happy you got a laugh out of this crazy piece of mine.

I discovered lack of oxygen, due to sleep deprivation, does produce some very extreme thoughts.

Great rammblings - at least your brain still function. Mine tend to freeze over when no sleep.

Good sense of humor and many thruth in way you say. Imagine beeing able to see someone in that light.

Glad you enjoyed my stream of consciousness.

It is probably best to not shine too bright a light on these male/female dysfunctions. Not sure it would get anyone the positive feedback they are looking for.

Thank you for your review and comments, I greatly appreciate them.

This is a nice write-up on the issue of how we package ourselves for the public eye, especially when we are seeking to be engaged in lucrative jobs. I also find it funny in places. well done

    Hi Perp,

Happy you enjoyed the read and that you took some humor from it. I actually meant the piece to be for laughs, as I do not believe any of us would actually want to present such a CV for public view.

Thank you for your review and comments, as always, I greatly appreciate both.

Hey Buddy, I loved this. Insomnia works for you. It's clever because your observations are dead on. And it's funny, because of the snappy, sort of stream of consciousness style it's written in. Life's truisms make for great satire! Well done.

Yes, lack of sleep will tend to produce stream of consciousness on a grand scale.

I'm glad you found my satire to your liking. It was meant to bring a laugh and I see that you get that.

Thanks so much for the read.

A fascinating essay, Marisa. It's very well presented and makes great sense to boot! I don't know about the likelihood of your suggestions actually being acted upon, but you've presented us with a very interesting new perspective. Love that you quoted Chris Rock. Love that man!

Warmest regards, Bev

Well, just chalk it up to wee hours of the morning 'spitballing' of bizarre and completely impractical ideas.

Yes, Chris Rock is a fun guy, he really cuts to the chase when it comes to male/female relationships.

Glad you enjoyed this bit of madness. Thanks so much for the read.

He's a superb judge of character, I think.

    You're most welcome, Marisa.

Love the style of this as well as the content. You've chosen some of the best of the worst traits common to many men and women. Given all we have to deal with, it's amazing some marriage happen, let alone last. I'm one of the lucky ones..he overlooks my faults and he has only minor ones to overlook. :)

I can always count on you to 'get' my crazy satire, Phyllis. Love that you take it for want it is .... over the top humor.

It is always good to know that there are those who defy stereotypes and have wonderful relationships. You are a fortunate woman and so may I say is your husband a fortunate man to have you.

Thank you for this really great and kind review and the generous rating.

Whoa careful man you are treading on dangerous paths. Your bombastic language made an immediate impact onmy mind and interesting reading as well. No one worth their salt would ever ever ever submit such a self deprecating CV as you have done. Though it can be true, what purpose would it serve? Someone has hurt you, ditched you,or played games with you, for you to have come up with such a piece? Do retire under the covers and recoup. You will think better after a good breakfast of ham and eggs. Gooloo mehta

First you must realize that this is 'satire' so it is not meant to be anything but funny and absurd. It is not about me or anyone in particular. It is about stereotypes, i.e. male and female.

All you need do is just take it for the laugh and not attempt to overlay reality on this bit of absurdity.

Thanks for your review and read, I greatly appreciate both.

Well, I ended up smiling after this read, so you don't have to go back to bed and hide under the covers. Loved it. Maybe you should be a critically astute match-maker and get paid for your services. When you put those characteristics up to view, seems like no one in their right mind would opt to co-exist with the opposite sex. Or even, with their own sex, platonic tho it may be. Luckily for humans, there are also some really good traits that balance the bad. Otherwise we'd be, and would have been ages ago, on the way out as a species. Enjoyed reading this well-written and humorous (mostly) piece. Some of it wasn't funny at all. Hate to think of us as being so unattractive. Lol.

Stereotypes are not fair and we are not the sum total of our dysfunctions. There are also degrees of these traits and, as you have stated, we humans have many good traits as well.

Trust me, it was only satire and I was going for the extreme humor. It helps to look at ourselves with a lighter eye and laugh at some of our absurd ticks.

Thanks for your great review. Glad you enjoyed the read overall.

After reading this quite humorous posting of the dysfunctional style of relationships between men and women, I think it's rather amazing that we were still able to procreate the world population without guilt or the threat of tipping those dysfunctional scales. Excellent write, now get some sleep!

Glad you liked this semi-conscious bit of satire. It is amazing what the brain will come up with when sleep deprived.

Thanks for your great review, I really enjoyed it.

Not sure if I am honored or annoyed that you wrote the male CV about me. Wait, was arrogance listed in there? I think you missed arrogance.
Oh, it was?
I wasn't listening anyway... gotta go.

Great piece.
