Adventurous streaks can bring lots of fun and memories. Reading can be limiting, but what we learn is also beneficial. Good author notes. Excellent work.

Hi Tom. This is great. It does look like a rail track and the poem took us for a short journey. A journey to discover the scenery in our minds. As we read the stories in the books and our mind travel with the story. On the railway track, we journey through time with adventure and a book in hand.
Good write and quite an adventure on this rail track taht took us for a real and imaginary ride.
Have a great week.
Cheerio, Ritchie.

Hey Ritchie. Glad you liked it. Thanks.
Comment from Gloria ....
This is a pretty cool poem. It took me awhile to get the train tracks. It would have worked better if the picture was going in the same direction as the words. But my genius finally figured it out. :P
Railroad Track Free Verse eh? I like it...it's pretty cool.
Keep on writing.

Aloha Treischel,
Thank you for this great poem, I could hear the clickity, clack of the tracks as the train flowed with rhythm of your words.

First, yes it does look like a railroad track. Second just the words of traveling and viewing a train track takes many of us back in time. For many of us a short-cut to reach a small farm town was to walk down the track.
Always enjoy your poems and I learn from your author's notes.
Blessings, JO
I'm not sure I shall ever be able to rhyme a poem. But, at least people state to me they like my free-verse form of creating a visual story with words. Hopefully I got lots of years left to learn other styles.

Thank you Jo for your warm review. Yes, every journey begins with the first step.

Yes, the ties and tracks are visually represented in your verse. The rhythm is
great. Love the picture that you present for your visual. A very well written verse that
sends a great meaning. Robin :)

You did a super job with this. Nice take on adventure through reading. The copy does remind one of railroad tracks, which works well coupled with the artwork. This was a joy to read.

There is nothing I like better than curling up with a book.
This is a lovely poem, taking a trip through the pages of another world. Another wonderful poem, and a lovely read. xsx Sandra

Great descriptions. I knew before I reached the end that you were talking about reading. You produced good arguments for reading, even if a person doesn't like it! I like the way you compare reading to travel-2 of my hobbies! Great job!

Very good. I do think of reading as taking an adventure in the mind. I find the things I read really do affect me, so I try to be careful what I read. And yes, your picture does look like railroad tracks. The poem gives the feeling of railroad tracks inside-out, which makes perfect sense if it represents side-to-side book pages. Excellently done.
